I don't know if you're a) making a reference to the very dead "glastonbury monorail" joke b) saying he's managed to somehow swindle us in the way similar to Lyle Lanley because you don't like Brandon FLowers c) talking about something else entirely

I wanted to make this exact crack when he came on, by my partner had gone to the cider bus so I had to keep it to myself like little Charlie Brown

feel like it was a big thing when it first broke but then no outlets could be arsed picking it up, and online Blur fans were rabid in telling anyone mentioning the allegations to shut up. Kinda feel like Blur's fanbase more resistant than most to face up to their faves being properly malignant.

Do ppl suggesting Blur not know about Coxon abusing female fans 30 years younger than him or just not care?
  6. Releasing Vampire or having hair that good would each be grounds enough for her to headline on their own, but she's done both.

idk why waste time arguing with the ppl who think Taylor's in the frame, after all this they're hardly going to turn around and be like yeah you're right actually are they? And what happens if they do? You win a prize?
  8. Move to Pilton or move to Liverpool Yeah it's seriously just luck. I am the only person who has ever scored tickets for me, and I always have a load of people trying. I'm the only one of my group who's ever got through in the main sale, but when we've done coach sales for others it's always been somebody else who's got through. None of us do anything differently. There's no geographical or device advantage because I've got tickets in different cities, countries, continents, 4(ish) different devices and sometimes it's the sh*tty old diesel powered laptop that does it, sometimes it's a mid range Android, sometimes it's the IT w*nker M1 MacBook Pro. All you can do is be in the sales and roll the dice and hope.
  9. My mum's been saying this to me for ages 😭 and I've been like YOU need pilates because you are old, I am too young and cute for any of that song of thing, my exciting life is my exercise how about that. And now I'm gonna need to do it and hide it from her because if she finds out she was right she'll be unbearable.
  10. I just don't have any core strength. I can hotfoot all over the site for the 5 festival days fine, but carrying stuff to and from the car I feel like I'm going to crumple. Dr has been telling me that I need to be exercising to not lose muscle mass for 18 months but I've not been listening, just thought it was kind of funny that the back door is too heavy for me to close now but that's not a big deal when the rest of my life isn't affected. But now it's hit me in the Glastonbury and that's serious business. I had to miss Slowdive because the trudge back to the car took so long.
  11. I know loads of people love them and it would be a hit but personally I hate them and think the vibes would be rancid if Spice Girls played. Mel C & B can hang, but keep it solo. The other horrible posh chippy right wing ones can keep well away.
  12. A legend is someone who hit the big time before I was born, NOT Mika from the 00s

Yh I just listened to Vampire for the first time and holy sh*t lads I'm all the way an Olivia Rodrigo believer now
  14. I fully teared up during this show. If you wanted to see something that gay and horny when I was a teenager it felt f**king illegal. Stood there watching this gay black pop star doing that show, to one of the biggest crowds at Glastonbury, broadcast on BBC to teatime crowds, and I'm surrounded by families in camping chairs with little kids nodding along. That's amazing. When I was like 14 there was a big advert campaign where Hilary Duff had to try and shame people into not using gay as an insult, and another one where a load of gay celebrities had to tell gay kids not to kill themselves because their lives will get less sh*t in a few years. Yeah there's still bigotry and there's still progress to be made (imagine how wildly and horribly different the reception to a similar display of wlw sexuality would be for example), but oh my god we live in an entirely different world from 15 years ago. And the festival itself has completely changed its vibe. 10 years ago it was still kinda blokey, proper instruments gang were still supreme above all else on most of the the big stages. In just that short time I've been going the diversity of acts has changed hugely, the crowd has become way more diverse, the social consciousness has become way more prominent all round. All credit to Emily Eavis for really doing that sh*t, the changes to the festival under her have been incredible. All credit to Nas for having the genius and the will to roll out that show, and all credit to Elton for fighting for that platform for him to do it.
  15. These lads would be a biggie for me but I don't think the general population would be about it unless they've had some kinda surge since playing midday to a half empty tent in the early evening at Latitude about a decade ago. Ps they'd like to know that they are DARYLL Hall and JOHN Oates 😡 they are NOT simple Hall & Oates and never have been thankyouverymuch
  16. He'd do it for two cans and a t-shirt

Honestly I was thinking this year about the massive age divide in audiences for a few acts on the lineup. Like Lovejoy and Cavetown are hugely popular online and can sell out tours in medium sized venues really quickly. Then they're languishing in the BBC Introducing and Leftfield stages at Glastonbury. Would love to know what sort of crowds they got.
  18. Oh sh*t yeah. She'd be sensational. Ultimate 'mid lineup would be her in the Legend's, Taylor Swift headlining. Currently ascendent radio pop darling after Stevie, followed by a formerly popular and formerly critically beloved major label indie rock band punching way above their weight on before Taylor. Some band you've never heard of from South America playing the pan pipes and steel drums and being the best f**king show you've ever seen opening up. Probably like Squeeze or somebody dead boring on before Stevie. Lock it in for 2025.

I dare you to find a bigger respecter of Christina Aguilera than me. I love that woman and her work with my life. But she's not gonna headline Glastonbury festival these days is she. Don't think she'd play. Miley and KP both took a low paying daytime Pyramid show bocos they were pushing for the exposure and in the middle of a much wider project of wanting to become seen as more serious artists than they'd be pegged as before. Christina's not arsed mate, she's in her lane, unbothered, moisturised, happy, focused, flourishing.
  20. Yh I hate the idea of more posh camping. Could maybe get behind the idea of some affordable pre-pitched because it makes things easier for public transport travellers, but prices would have to come down a massive amount.
