There was some (what seemed to me) quite aggressive checking of wristbands late on Thursday and late on Friday so maybe they had word some folk were on site who shouldn’t be…?

When we left just after midnight on Sunday / Monday morning there were LOADS of cars parked on verges / in lay-bys on the lane over to Llangynidr and quite a few folk walking about. I guess it’s got to be pretty simple to get in if you’re capable of jumping a small fence.

We were stood next to a group of about a dozen guys in FO Sunday night for Ty Segall and Parquet Courts who wero delighting in telling everyone they'd just walked in. Not a wrist band to be seen.

As an aside - the only time I got asked to show wrist band any any point was at the steps at the right front of Mountain. Which was a change from previous years Ive been there.

    Hello sir.

Thanks for the info as always.

One thing.....is there a 'cider' selection too? If so, and if its not too much trouble.....could you post that selection too?

    Thanks, dude. I like cider.

Am I imagining - isnt there a selection of ciders at the bar in Walled Garden?

Also, are the men's urinals usually as bad as last year or was that a rushed set up thing too?

Thinking of packing wellies even if it is 24c and dry all weekend just incase I need to traverse ankle deep piss and mud again.

I must admit Ive not found the Green Mans urinals a problem - especially compared to other festivals (Yes Glastonbury Im talking about you). Wasnt there last year though

    Thanks.

Indeed there are a few on Fanticks but at the moment there is no single adult weekend ticket.

Might have one adult coming up through Fanticks. One of our party now has wisdom tooth surgery day before so will be a drop out. We got our tickets through Fanticks which means we dont have them yet. So I think we will have to relist also on Fanticks? Seems to say in the T&C's that the orignal vendor has to give the OK in any resales? Soon as its listed I can DM you if you want.

Think 4 - they’ll have far out and walled garden plus chai wallahs. They seem to be adding the main stage rather than replacing a smaller stage for Thursday

Is Chai Wallah's deifnately there this year? No mention of it on the areas page of the website

    So definitely not a 2016. But definitely a 2007.

    Now, we are fucked.

Away and shite with yer 2007. A bit of rain on a Friday is a bit different from the 3 days of permanent drizzle shit show that was 2007

For those who have been through this before, how accurate have the calls that have been made now (ie 2 weeks out from the festival) been in previous years? Surely a lot of time for things to change (perhaps even drastically)?

Every year is the same. This thread consists of 2 kinds of people:

    1. The Nal

    2. Everyone arguing with The Nal.

  8. So I’m out walking the pooch this morning with On the Beach on Spotify. All of a sudden the songs are listed as unavailable. Log out/ back in all the albums gone.

is this just me or as he actually gone and carried out the threat?

On the Bruce topic, I noticed Nils' tweet a few weeks ago and got the vibe that a tour was looking to be off the cards:

This. IF Springsteen/ RATM have cancelled its probably logistics. If band/ key crew members test positive half way through a tour what do you do?

  10. Springsteen European Tour looks like its off for 2022 with ongoing Covid uncertainty. Only rumours (which is all the proposed dates ever were really), but being widely quoted across the Bruce forums.

Oooooohhhh Barack Obaaaaama.  sounds right.   We only have politicians whose name fits in with that chant

    Oooooooh William Rees-Mogg....

    Not sure..

  12. Springsteen also got a new live album out tomorrow. Plenty for him to talk about with old Graeme without going anywhere near tour dates.

Greasy Lake's source is a friend of an A&R person isnt it. So its tenuous at best. Not booking the Milan hotel just yet
