  1. I’ve been them all! Sziget was absolutely fantastic, as you’ve mentioned definitely a greater international fee that beni. Nos alive was great but a nightmare navigating round the site when the bands were on, felt the size was too small for the amount of people, and Mad Cool was just an organisational shambles, vowed never to return! Also both the latter have no camping which is still the main buzz for me at a festival! One thing that’s beni is a clear winner is logistics. The festival runs smoothly every year and this is something I’ve started to appreciate more the older I’ve got! Never had any issues with queues, missing bands, bottlenecks in crowd etc. Campsite to main area with a cheap litre of beer in your hand within 10 minutes - pure festival utopia
  2. Yep, tier structures are an absolute joke, they definitely play into peoples fears of festivals selling out soon, only to release another 6 tiers (check out lost village for this) On the subject of overseas attendees and crowd, I’ve definitely noticed the difference since I first went back in 2012, and I’m anticipating an even more notable difference this time round with new owners. My music taste has changed dramatically since back then, so the lineup doesn’t really appeal to me much anymore more, but it’s the only way as a group we can organise and agree on a “group holiday”.
  3. Competition to win one of 25 pairs of tickets https://www.secretgardenparty.com/film/ Seems an unusual high number of tickets to give out? Do feel there's something strange going on. Announcing its sold out all over its website and then having numerous raffles does play into the 'private party' approach they may be going for (as someone else mentioned on here) For all we know they may have not sold even half the full capacity, but little ploys like this definitely help foster an exclusive feel and will only encourage others to try and get their hands on these golden tickets!
  4. From what I can remember though they didn’t even sell out the second tier by then, which was still way down in the list of tiers being offered? From experiencing sell outs when the price was 140 euros I think I was kinda expecting it to be sold out way before the festival was to start.
  5. Right you are! Websites just been updated again General Admission; 40 euros VIP: 80 euros Camping; 25 euros
  6. Good spot on the new website, just noticed that if you click on 'lineup' they have a date of the 25th October, whereas the 'ticket' page says 10th November! Which means we're getting the lineup on Monday!!!
  7. Could be! It didnt sell out for 2020 though i dont think, so there's potential for them to change it up this time round. I was pretty happy with the Beni lineup in 2020 considering it was only 40 euros, mind you. However saying that i'd take an increase in ticket price if it correlated into a few more stand-out, big-name bands that used to be common place back 5 or so years ago - Killers, Blur, QOTSA, New Order, Florence & The Machine ect. With tickets on sale 3 weeks tomorrow when are we expecting the line-up to drop? Week before? Day before?
  8. Are we expecting another cheap ticket price? Ive always assumed they returned the money (or at-least they said they did) because that was just a first year introductory offer which wouldn't be made again? Im half expecting 100 euros a ticket this time round, which is still considerably cheaper than what the UK offers.
  9. Surely they don't have a strong enough pull to sell 35k tickets within an hour or so of a 6am sale? Thats whats stumping me. Anyway, yours seems a reasonable proposition to me - heres hoping it comes true!
  10. Becoming more annoyed each day that i was priced out of this due to a lack of payment plan. Just had a look at the website though and noticed this... 1 To register for further ticket releases and ticket returns for SGP ’22, please enter your full name belowThis question is required. * Further ticket releases sounds as if they've got more planned? Must admit i was shocked to see that around 35k tickets sold out within an hour for a sale that started at 6am. Is there any chance they didn't put them all on sale? Would there be any incentive for them to do this? Definitely feels like i'm clutching at straws here 😞
  11. Superbock Superrock - same weekend as Beni - has just announced Foals. They've shared a few acts in the past, and with Foals being on the 2019 lineup, i wouldn't be surprised to see them back! Can anyone else remember what other festivals Beni used to share acts with?
  12. The lack of payment plan crushed my plans. Absolutely gutted because its one i've always wanted to go to! Hoping for some kind of resale in the future but not keeping my hopes up 😞
  13. Well Waterworks was special. Each of the stages had its own personal touch with the stage production blowing everything I’ve seen this summer out of the water. Siren stage was a personal favourite but I’m an absolute sucker for anything amongst trees! Hi hat as well was was nice and cosy. Ended the night right at the front for Cedar watching Nicholas Lutz b2b Craig Richards, getting blasted by the smoke machine every 5 minutes or so, which in my wide-eyed stupor added to euphoria I was already feeling. First to admit that electronic music isn’t really my forte, however over the last few years I’ve noticed myself steering closer towards these kind of events and very much enjoying a day long boogy. Hats of to the perseverance of my friends I suppose. Will he snapping up tickets for next year as soon as they are announced.
  14. Yeah managed to grab 2 of there for Paul Heaton yesterday but im now in need of a single ticket and you can only buy the full amount people are selling (its never just 1)
  15. Anybody seen any cheap tickets for any of the sounds of the city gigs in Manchester?
  16. Anybody know if there’s a payment plan option for this?
  17. All good, everyone of us has now received an email! Have noticed however that the tickets go on sale at 6am on a Sunday?! Im pretty confident i'll still be up then as its the morning after waterworks festival, but cant help but feel this is a ridiculous time to hold a sale? Are they doing it to filter out those half-hearted punters? Is it a tactic to only attract those who can party through till 6am? Hopefully it doesn't have the opposite effect and the festival is awash with early risers who like to partake on an early morning walk and judge those goggle-eye attendees stumbling back to the tent after dawn.
  18. Its a truly incredible festival! Booked up for next year before id even had chance to recover from this one! Yeah you can pretty much guarantee they'll be a similar style booking; De La Soul, Friendly fires and Django Django have all been booked within the last few editions.
  19. Suppose with it making a return that demand is likely to be much higher this time! Has anybody had an email by the way after signing up? Only two people out of our group have had it...
  20. I thought it used to sell out way in advance, even the last one, which made their decision to non continue with the festival even more bizarre? So are we thinking this is unlikely to sell out straight away?
  21. Very highly! Sounds a very similar vibe to SGP - people heavily dosed up early doors, every day! 4th year i've been now and ill be booking my 5th as soon as early birds are released.
  22. One i've always wanted to attend but never got round too! Just hoping they change their usual weekend (3rd weekend in July) as i'm usually at another the weekend before. Edit: Just realised the countdown timer ends at midnight tonight?!? After a heavy weekend at Lost Village there's no chance ill be up to see it end
  23. More acts to be announced next week. Really hoping that they bring Django Django back to the bill, most exciting and apt booking the festival has ever had IMO. Seems strange that they aren't already on the bill though with them playing Boardmasters this weekend, makes me think they're one of the acts who got cut from last years poster.
  24. Possible Body and / or bag search. Some people just get told to waltz straight in. Seems completely arbitrary who they pull aside, but even if you’re one of the unlucky ones it’s usually a quick pat and search of the bag. Judging by the state of the people inside though the searches can’t be that thorough. From what I can remember there’s been no obvious differences year on year in terms of the security, majority seem a friendly bunch.
