Apologies if this has been answered or if I am being stupid but are the headliners on the poster for each stage in order of the days they will be playing?
just the headliners, not worried about other acts at the mo, thanks -

I really can't be bothered to listen to her to be honest, not to say she would be a bad booking, she might be great . New blood on the main stages is always welcome.
I just can't be bothered. If she did the type of music i like I would have heard of her . I don't think she does a lot of drum and bass.
I am not hating on her , just stating facts. until her name, never heard of her .
Her second album was actually a Drum and bass epic

still never heard of SZA
or any songs by her
Middle aged white man, Manchester
First point is not true, you’ve heard of her on here
Second point - type her into whatever music platform you use and give her a listen. If you don’t use that, there are free vids on YouTube - educate yourself
Third point, can’t turn back time but you can move if that bothers you

I'd prefer the TV license chat to peeps getting worked up over Coldplay.
🤣🤣 out of upvotes

If £2.20 a week for a TV license is that much of an issue to anyone then I'm afraid they probably live a sheltered life.
If you feel abused because you're "forced" to pay it .........(which you aren't)......... maybe take a look around the world at other issues that are far more pressing and worrying than paying a small fee for a TV license.
you could even move to America, the land of the free where you're "forced" to pay $300 to see a doctor if you cant afford insurance.
ANYWAY ........................ WHOS HEADLINING AND ON WHAT NIGHTS?
-
With the Sunday evening audience probably being the largest for TV audiences would it make sense for Coldplay to be doing the Sunday night, can that actually happen with dates available? or is it likely that they would not put SZA and Dua on two nights in a row? What are peoples thoughts - what's the general consensus?
-
Aaaaaaaaanyway back to the headliners............
I did state on here that id listened to SZA a fair bit and could take it or leave it, however after listening to her for another few days, she does have a fair few great tunes amongst the "Take it or leave it" tracks.
Always worth checking out vids of live performances too which, by all accounts....... look very impressive

I had a revelation like this in 2016 when I'd recently started a new job and half the office were going to Glastonbury. One guy from the sales team in particular loved to think of himself as being the most well-informed, with the best music taste etc.
Then all the acts he said he was excited to see were on Pyramid or acts like Bastille that had been played to death on radio.
I hate to break the news to him but if he was excited to see Bastille, then he was neither well informed nor did he have the best music taste

Thanks! Honestly, no idea really!
I'm mainly just hoping Coldplay aren't headlining 😂
I’m kind of hoping they are - not because I want to see them (I might do) but if I want to watch anyone else it should be easy to do as most people will be at Coldplay.
Fun will be had whatever I watch and wherever I am
-
So basically - whoever headlines the pyramid it doesn’t matter
Next forum 🤣

I had heard a couple of SZA tracks, wasn’t too fussed, spent a lot of time on this forum, went back and listened to the whole back catalogue……still not that fussed.
I like the idea of the festival taking a bit of a risk. There are other acts around I’d rather see headline but if she does I wish her all the best.
I will be elsewhere without a doubt but I’ll have a great night as will everyone watching SZA.
The glory of Glasto is there is so much on for ALL tastes

It may not be the most ideal for some people, but it is definitely the best lineup out of European festivals, with Coldplay, one of the biggest bands in the entire world, being world festival exclusive, Stevie Wonder ,arguably one of the biggest pioneers in the music industry, and Dua Lipa, one of the hottest music acts at the moment. All the other European festivals mostly have headliners who have either played Glastonbury within the last two years or have headliners who would only be big enough to headliner the Other Stage. And If you are referring to Taylor Swift as one of two of the biggest artists in the world, she isn’t free during Glasto weekend.
My thoughts were pearl jam and someone else who I can’t think of? Springsteen is in Europe

But it also makes you think why would Big bands do Glastonbury, when they can make so much more money on their own. They don't need the publicity they are already selling out stadiums for massive prices.
In comparison has this not always been the way though? Stadium gigs were £60 a ticket when Glasto was about £200, £40 a ticket back in 1998 when it was £80 a ticket
Bands will always play Glastonbury and other festivals if they have half a brain, it’s how you increase your fanbase
-
When singular acts (some not even headliner level) are now charging upwards of £90 for a single ticket…..
It kinda makes the £375 for Glastonbury seem like steal of the century

In all honesty I’m not sure that anyone else really cares if The 1975 have a few seats left in Manchester.
if they were headlining Glastonbury - it would be relevant for this chat….. they aren’t and I’m personally very very happy about that.
Happy Valentine’s Day all

I was hoping for a bit more heritage Indie like Franz Ferdinand/Travis/Echo and the Bunnymen but there doesn’t seem room for much more on the two main stages. I’ll be asking for recommendations on the newer bands…
The Last Dinner Party’s album was out today and sounds like it would be great live. See they are at Reading on the Saturday and Leeds on Sunday. Wonder if a trip to Pompey on the Friday might be possible?
If they are Playing Reading and Leeds its extremely unlikely

Have to Admit, i knew the hits then caved in and listened to evermore and folklore and they are two superbly crafted albums. Midnights was also pretty good.
I have to agree with the above, ultimately the music and lyrics will do the talking upon release. I personally cant wait to give it a listen.

Might as well mull guest spots:
Stevie Wonder: N/A
Dua Lipa: Elton John
Coldplay: Stormzy
Dua didn't turn up for Elton so i would suggest he would politely tell her to sling it
