It is a faff - this whole not transferable thing but ive had tickets before bought on my account for my kids and they have been ok with just having the email fowarded with the tickets attached. Not looking forward to trying to sort ticketmaster ones tho. Had a spare for paulo nutini and as it was on the ticketmaster app , i couldnt even find anyone who wanted it for free as everyone queuing around me all had tickets as there wouldn't be a way of buying one there (like the good old days of paper tickets). So i think im saying go for it and just email your tickets it should be ok

The middle and smaller things struggling whilst big events are selling- a lot of that im sure will be the price of everything else, drinks, food, transport etc. If i did one big 100quid ticket night and budget 100quid on top for drinks etc thats 200 spent. If i did 3 £30 tixket nights- the amount of money on food and drink wouldnt go down so that's £390 spent on what would possibly be not such a gauranteed good time.

But itll be 1 person trying 5000 times an hour or whatever. So itll be hits not numbers of people

Dunno where to stick this but anyone who bought springsteen tickets (even payment plans) through festickets have them reservered fron jan 2 to april 23rd to re buy via flyte. You dont get your money back but you can claim via bank (even partial payments) as Festicket have gone into administration. Ive just done this and was told itll be 45 working days before money is returned but comfortably in time to repurchase.

Try to let go of the idea you have to do and enjoy everything. That will lead to stress. If you're enjoying sitting drinking elderflower wine in the permaculture enjoy it for what it is. If you think that some of the acts are rubbbish or you don't get the hype about block 9 or whatever that's ok too.

I mean the scary thing is- if it includes a ticket (cant see it does or doesnt) , then that and a bit of worthy view or teepees for 10 doesnt make it seem so crazy when you say 2700 each Dont get me wrong it's way out of my price range (Glastonbury is now if i want to do anything else ) but i could see people justifying it with all sorts of convoluted maths. Ahh its a holiday. Once in a lifetime. Meh . Its where society is and as supre endlessly points out- some people pay 1000s for a ticket for one thing. No judgement from me. I think its an absolute waste of money but i haven't got it to waste. And ultimately its all pointless - we all die so all we can do is enjoy the bit before we do whilst we are still fit enough to enjoy the moments.

I know this is crazy talk but there is always the option of not going.

Apparently it was cos they claimed on insurance for the 2021 tour that they couldn't tour in 2022 without losing millions. Guessing its the same for most bands and thats why suddenly everyone's touring next year.

It would have to be much more than 500quid tho. Drink is 6quid a pop. Do 6 a day is £36 x5. Meals £10 each on average. I know it wouldn't be cost price but they wouldn't undercut too much. And i say 6 drinks a day - i could easily do triple over 24 hours with spirits / wine etc

You are totally right. They recommend places to not camp which is odd in itself

Yeah im not saying its ideal but im thinking something like - festival ticket £320. Festival including camping £370. Most people would camp but on some subliminal level the price is still 320quid plus extra Like car parking (almost)

If anything it will be more pre paid camping? Or start charging for camping? I know it is in the price anyway but knock 50quid off for no camping cos youll have pre booked (cos where it is there's no other option) and camping is an 'extra' rather than a given. Like many other festivals already tbh
