Sure, but in 2008, he wasn’t as big. I wasnt at Glastonbury but saw him at Rock Werchter where he was 4th down the bill. He certainly wasn’t seen as that big then, and was headlining arenas, not stadia that year.

I am surprised, considering he sold all his guitars, I thought he had retired. that said, I have little interest in a new Gilmour album, not really listened to his last one. But I’d be all over a supporting tour. I’ve seen Waters and Mason live, so this would get me over 50% of seeing Floyd in the flesh.

The co-op supermarket is also a very affordable option. Their meal is alright - 6 quid I think it was. But you can also get enough for breakfast and even supper there, with a bit of planning and the right gear. I am a big fan of bringing all my breakfasts in with me, but that's as much to do with finding and queuing for food first thing as a cash-saving exercise. But it all helps, and its far easier to do at Glastonbury compared to many other fests that don't have a supermarket.

I think next year is too soon, but 2025 a possibility after an album next year. It will depend on how the next album does.... It could be massive and push them upwards, but my feeling is they may forever be a really good indie rock band that doesn't break through into mainstream hugeness. It just seems their style is not the kind of thing that goes mega these days, although I suppose Sam Fender is also doing guitar rock and is pushing towards headlining the pyramid. Actually would love to see them headline Woodsies or maybe the park.

And then we all get to go maybe once every 5 years.

I have found that I am unable to connect to Seetickets with my VPN on. Best to have an alternative lined up.

It should be pretty straightforward, but I have a 3 minute video to show it working... If you only have a few to do, this is not worth it, but as I said, I have dozens, and it really cuts down the time spent entering them.

If anyone here is comfortable with Python, I have a short script that converts a csv file into a .plist file to use in creating text replacements on a mac. Our spreadsheet has something like 30 people on it with reg numbers and postcodes. I have converted all these to simple 3-letter shortcuts to make entering details quicker and not prone to typos. With this script, you simply get your codes in a spreadsheet and it creates a file to import into the text replacement panel. If you want a copy, I can share it.

Tom McGuire & The Brassholes last night at Thekla, Bristol. sh*t hot funk and a great party vibe. They played the festival last year but something like at 3 in the m orning at the West Holts bar, so maybe they'd be back next year. Anyway, well worth your time. So f**king rad!

They were great. They're not a band who gripe and moan on stage so not sure where this idea comes from. Neil's reference to the Ego ramp was obviously in jest. They seem one of the most easy-going bands around. I don't think there's any unfinished business for them as afternoon on Pyramid was a perfect slot for them, so I don't expect them back. They're doing IOW the week before.
