  1. Annie has played tonnes of main stages at this point, even headlined festivals... She's supporting Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers this summer as well.

There are a lot of acts going for those late John Peel and Park Stage slots and some will have to play Other, and St. Vincent is kind of a veteran now so I think a mid-afternoon slot from her will be great.

So that’s Foals, Blossoms and Sleaford Mods on the other Friday.   Not too bad

Possibly Metronomy too. They’ve a warm up show on Wednesday and Mallorca on Sunday.

A good fucking day if so (in spite of Blossoms).

Can’t really compare with 2019 as there are a lot more acts on the poster this year than last time - 89 v 65 (ish). My quick maths suggests there were 122 acts on the 5 biggest stages in 2019, so if the same this year then there are 33 acts left to announce.

Hold up. History tells us that there are going to be some on Silver Hayes and probably Acoustic from the poster, so assigning them all to the five main stages might be hasty.

Also 122 seems like a big drop from the consistently 130+ acts we've had on the five top stages in previous years. Not happy about that.

Where did the Griff on Pyramid thing come from?

Agree with Easy Life. That would be mental.

I think Griff told someone (here?) in the toilets at the Brit Awards that she’d be “main stage, see you there” at Glastonbury. But that’s probably what I’d say to someone when half-cut in a toilets if someone asked me if I was playing Glastonbury.

    So….

Map, Silver Hayes, Avalon, Acoustic, Williams Green, The Common, Kidz Field, Pangea and poss West Holts/The Park to come (sure there’s more)

Fingers crossed we start getting more and more over the coming weeks

I don't think there has ever been a poster for WG before 2020 (after the fest was already dabbed down) but hopefully that means a poster is in the offing for this year.

On full line-up day it tends to be the first place I look after briefly examining the main stages for clashes.

iirc there were great tickets being offered at low prices as a few people on here turned up on the day and scooped them up. Ain’t gonna happen here.

Those lucky dip tickets where you bought cheap tix and found out where you were sat on the day? What a class scheme that is - I think it's generally a fun thing they do on tours rather than to get rid of empty seats (although I imagine more are thrown in when it's a slow seller).

Shame they're seemingly doing 2/3 of their UK shows here where that's not gonna be a thing. Might wait and see if they do that for Anfield tho.

    Inhaler I can see.

the Stones usually pull out a big name main support though. I guess it’s the attraction of supporting them. Then they usually appear with the band.

Florence did the London Stadium show, could it be possible she’d do this as well. Suspicious lack of London festival show.

Again, that was stadiums. The money was going into the Stones' pockets so they had more riding on it and would be able to rope in some pals. If you go to @sisco's post on the last page, the support last time was Jake Bugg on his first album and The Vaccines on their second (admittedly their peak but not a huge booking).

Does anyone want to take a pop at the supports for the Stones dates?

I wonder if The Strokes for one of them isn’t a crazy idea?

I feel it is a bit of a crazy idea.

The Stones do have had some massive supports now and then on their stadium tours but when it's BST footing the bill, I expect they'll skimp on the supporting lineup, what with it being a guaranteed sellout anyway. The Strokes would cost a fair few quid for no real benefit to the sales.

Would expect the main ones to be the likes of Supergrass or Richard Ashcroft.
