Only downside is that firefox has no features to save card details. I would highly recommend the autofill add on regardless.

It’s an extension for Chrome as well - not that I’d expect Chrome to remember your card details when you’re in a hurry.

Chemical brothers have surely got to be back right?

    Also.

    sad news

i’m not gonna be trying for tickets this year :( for many reasons (personal, work, monetary)

hope all of you have the best of luck though!

Thanks pal. Hope things work out.

Having said that, I do think that The Employer wouldn't fuck it up a second time, and its already too late to say that about the Arctic Monkeys.

It has always seemed eminently likely to me that U2 and Springsteen would circle back around to nail their Glasto slot on second attempt. They've both got it in 'em and there's arguably been enough time since that their return wouldn't matter.

Weren't they billed as 'special guests'? I don't recall the term 'coheadliners' being used, not that it really means much.

Andy has since referred to them as such. Maybe the term didn’t exist back then:

anyone checked out this Avantdale Bowling Club album? Really jazzy, for fans of The Roots, BadBadNotGood, Digable Planets etc

Might be a bit too jazzy for me but the end of that first video is spectacular. Was not expecting the Kiwi accents either.

Get Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong back for 2019.

Most of the band are playing the Crow's Nest every year as Toy.

Not so sure about that. Stormzy played the Other last year and is being touted as a potential future headliner.  You'll search the 2008 list in vain for anyone who even comes within sniffing distance.

Yeah he's being hyped as a future headliner the year after he last played. Would none of those have been seen in a similar light? And will we look back fondly at Stormzy in 2028?

Yeah tbf you're probably right there, yer man did literally tell the crowd at the end of their last show there 'we'll be back to headline in a few years'. I just want Glasto to happen cos it'd be good.

I know it goes against the big 90’s reunion pipe dream but I think they could quite easily headline 2020. Particularly if they’re itching to dissolve the band and move onto another thing (lol).

Still not convinced ASIB is going to have Greatest Showman-levels of ubiquity, at least on this side of the Atlantic. Would love to be proven wrong though.

Yeah but it's probably better for her to be the star of a widely admired film with a modest soundtrack rather than be the star of a lousy film with a soundtrack that's flying off the shelves.

  9. Just thinking... I bet that, a couple of years ago, no one would have expected that 2019 would actually turn out to be the best year to book Lady Gaga.

edit: as a headliner, is what I'm saying.

Twenty One Pilots // A$AP Rocky // The Hunna // Everything Everything // Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes // Sundara Karma // Tom Grennan // Sunset Sons // High Tyde

    Dance:

My Nu Leng // DJ Zinc // Darkzy

    Pit:

    The 1975 // The Streets // Khalid // Kaiser Chiefs // RAT BOY // The Amazon’s // Pale Waves // The Sherlock’s // Genghar

    Radio 1 Stage:

BROCKHAMPTON // Don Broco // Neck Deep // Miles Kane // Chip // Saba // Hippo Campus // Easy Life // PROSE

    Dance:

    Foo Fighters // Catfish & The Bottlemen // Skepta // Bombay Bicycle Club // Bugzy Malone // Joey Bada$$ // DMA’s // Princess Nokia // King No-One

    Radio 1 Stage:

    Pit:

    Bowling For Soup

    FR:

    Peace // Gerry Cinnamon

    1Xtra:

Juice WRLD // Jaykae // Slowthai

Friday main aside, this would be very strong. Too strong really. Don't see Bonobo playing the dance stage or Chase & Status and Jamie xx both playing the same night on R1, and there's no chance of Idles playing a stage smaller than R1 at this point. Think Krept & Konan and Anne Marie are very low down the R1 bill and DMA's and The Sherlocks would probably go a bit higher too.

Some good choice here though. Would love J.I.D (and EarthGang) popping up, but with these headliners being likely I'm never gonna buy a ticket so forget it. :P

Jamie xx / Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals

This seems pretty good. The shouts for Pale Waves doing main the same day as The 1975 are getting tired though, surely the two bands must diverge at some point? Must they not only support them on tour but play all the same festival stages?

  11. I would still put money on The 1975 headlining Reading and Leeds - something they were probably signed up for years ago - but wouldn't be all that shocked to see them pop up as 'special guests' on the John Peel or something.

  12. Single site festivals can do coheadliners in Europe because they mostly don't have the same curfews as the UK, and can have one headliner start at 10 and another start at 12. Having a headliner start at 7 - earlier than the sub the next night, because of set length - is garbage.

The full Stones set leaked online shortly after the performance so most folk desperate for it have probably already tracked it down.

Dunno about an audio release. Though the album recorded in Hyde Park the week afterwards is surprisingly good.

Stones show wasn't all that on the telly - Blur neither. Probably best off just releasing Arctic Monkeys 2013.

Not seen much, if any, mention of the Chemical Brothers yet which I find surprising. Coming up to 4 years and new material, they're due again. Can see them being all over 2020 though

They'll certainly appear one of the two years but I think that next year is more likely now that they've started trailing new music. Would imagine they'll want to play while their new album is fairly fresh rather than holding it off for the anniversary. Plus five years is arguably too long without any Chemical Brothers.

I know Download haven't done co headliners before but it has been discussed as a possibility in the past so I was thinking KoRn and Slayer to co headline the Friday. What with it being Slayer's last tour and if KoRn are ever gonna headline it would probably make more sense as a co headliner than a full fledged headliner. So maybe KoRn/Slayer, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot headlining with someone like Evanescence being one of the subs. Either that or Smashing Pumpkins, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot headlining with KoRn, Slayer and Evanescence as subs.

They have done coheadliners - Whitesnake were a coheadliner. Goes to show how much of an impact that billing has for the lower band.

I’ve often wondered why GF don’t put out an annual album or dvd of the highlights of the festival. I know there’d be issues around consent from artists but this is something that could be included in their performance contracts, the vast majority of them consent to being filmed when signing up so this isn’t much of a stretch further.

They could give the proceeds to Oxfam or WaterAid.

They did that in 2016 for Oxfam. Didn’t do it last year, but I imagine if the 2016 compilation was popular enough then they might have.

The Prodigy are doing an Austrian festival in April, surely makes them more likely if they're touring Euro fests next year.

They’ve been doing European festivals every summer for about twenty years..

these are supposedly the first bands leaked for HELLFEST

if this is true, how many of them are likely to be at DL?

I doubt it’s true, but RHCP would be an interesting addition to the pool if they do festivals like that.
