Festivals don't usually just throw tickets out there anyway. That practice was likely more to do with them being a brand new festival trying to establish itself in the market. And, looking at this year, it has worked as I don't think some random event with Kano and London Grammar headlining would have sold out (or close to sold out) but this one has. If they need to get people in, they'll probably give all their partners like 100 pairs of tickets to give out as competition prizes. I can't see free tickets for O2 Priority members or whatever happening ever again.

I think they removed a couple of my fave acts on the lineup as punishment for ragging you guys about replacements. NBT switching stages seems weird. Now they’re either not opening, or Catfish are closing the night, or there’s a gap in that lineup.

Nautilus by Anna Meredith is a legendary tune by now. Rock bands walk out in arenas to it, MOTD build-up montage level. Big Joanie and Jane Weaver are fine. Good acts, might not get a whole field going.

Bruh of course it’s a marketing ploy. They’re not gonna cap preorders at the amount of tickets to be nice to fans. Besides it’s always no purchase necessary because they can’t promise tickets will be available in exchange, making it a free-for-all.

Maybe to a very small degree, not the main topic of conversation. Have never seen people so interested in what might be on the Dance to the Radio Stage before. And then when replacements looked likely, people talking about which acts they'd like to see - regardless of size - substituted in.

When 98% of the lineup was out, people were talking about the other 2% straight away. Whisper it, but I think this lineup might be a bit shit.

Assuming that the X Stage is now the 6Music Stage, there should be one more - the JagerHaus - to be announced. Tomorrow, one would guess.

That's a very good point. Seemed from reports like there were a lot more people than normal at Latitude who were just there to get lit with friends after restrictions. Reading and Leeds making front page news with their plans to go ahead on the week the roadmap was detailed forced a total sellout, which was probably not lineup-dependent. This year might be a bit of a mad one.

I wonder if the campsites are gonna be quieter than normal during the day and if the stages more mobbed because live music has been scarce for so long.

Can you imagine telling yourself at the start of the year that R+L was pretty much definitely going ahead, you're going, you think the lineup is great... but one month before you're disappointed because they haven't finalised the replacement acts for ones who can't make it? The acts who were second choice to Neck Deep?

That is the least 6 Music stage at the festival.

The main issue with Sam Fender is that he sometimes does songs that aren’t Bruce/Drugs ripoffs.

They didn't all resign though. Nor did they establish a new LLP. Tbf I think he could hand leather jackets to any three pasty white dudes with brown hair and nobody would know the difference.
