Loved Art Garfunkel and his voice was so much better than i expected, worked really well in a tent that size. Only spoilt by the guy in front bellowing out the sound of silence (I did not come to hear you slaughter it!). The poetry was however, dire.

Pretty good last year too!

Wherethewildthingsare replied to Breeze's topic in Chat
QOTSA. (But not against Elton) Paolo Nutini (potential Acoustic headliner but only on Friday please) Pulp (big stage not secret) Hozier (early Pyramid again or early Other) Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real -
Welcome! Long term gold member here but currently banned from my main account @wherethewildthingsare due to alleged spam (an Amazon link to camping equipment if you check!). Please can I have this back so I can use my no ad gold membership until 2024. I have cancelled but very happy to renew. Efestivals is a huge part of my Glasto prep/reflections and personally love this format. thanks and good luck to you and to Neil

I’ve been a member here since 2007, had gold membership since it started. Caused no trouble, contributed a fair bit. Banned a couple of months ago for “spam” (I think I posted an Amazon link to some camping gear as expected in that thread). No warning. No explanation. Couldn’t contact Neil as unable to message him. Can’t access my account as banned so I couldn’t cancel my gold membership which I had just renewed and now can’t use. Today is the final straw and I Have had to cancel the direct debit instead. Can vouch for @crazyfool’s (unadvertised) kindness and disgusted by his treatment today. No excuse.

It wasn’t that bad, it was mainly beforehand which led to all the mud. I’m sure I got accidentally sunburnt on the Saturday. The worst of it was Sunday afternoon/early evening
-
I’d say that does look like the only difference! Easy enough to lift the whole thing (even with SIM attached) and store things underneath. the bag is a little bigger… 🤷♀️

Didn’t someone say he was aiming to play all stages? This fits with that
-
Same here, incredibly comfy
-
If they have a spare place (ie spare capacity in their tent, 3 people in a 4 person) then you could be added to their order. Depending upon on what they already have this might be cosy. Another option would be to try for a bigger tent in the resale and cancel the first one. You lose £50 but it might actually be cheaper over all

I assume Phatcamel was using a conditional tense else that’s really speculative!

It’s 12 noon Thursday 27th isn’t it? scout tents are usually available
-
Saw her in 2014 on the pyramid, mid afternoon I think. Very good, am thinking possible Friday headliner for me. Look up her greatest hits on Spotify, I expect you’ll be surprised how many you know

Played the Park in 2019, really enjoyed them, they’re in the country?
-
Agree with this, unless they are just protecting the whole European tour. Love QOTSA despite their personal issues. Saw them back in 2003 and then again on their recent UK tour in Wembley. Sadly, like others will probably be watching it back on TV later as Elton is a one off

Can’t comment on campervans but If you’re referring to Worthy View or Sticklinch Pre erected accommodation (tents) with access to showers etc provided by the festival - then it is not as difficult to obtain. Fancier tents go very quickly but scout tents are widely available
-
Unusual for someone to play a secret set and then not appear the following year. He is playing a huge tour. Saw him in October, superb live. I’d put him on the pyramid late afternoon after subbing the Other in 2014. He is no bigger but a household name

Likely to pop up elsewhere - they were great on the Greenpeace stage after Lizzo a couple of years ago

Love a bit of Elvana 🕺

Whats your absolute ESSENTIAL GADGET / NEW THING you'll be bringing?
Wherethewildthingsare replied to Jacko45's topic in Chat
They sold these the first year of the metal cups didn’t they? Logistical nightmare - this though is great for carrying paper pints CarryAround Fold Away Cup Carrier/Caddy - Take-Out Coffee Soft Drink Pint Beer Beverage Holder, Sturdy Reusable Pocket Size, Festival Sports Gigs - Easy & safe - hot drinks, 3-4 cup position https://amzn.eu/d/bd1fhPv wouldn’t pay £10 myself, no doubt cheaper elsewhere. Mine was part of a brothers competition (won a big box of mainly useless bits and a small amount of cider)
