  1. I definitely am, always goes this way for me - I get about two or three hours sleep from about 5 or 6 am on the Sat/Sun/Mon so you’d think I’d be completely knackered but I’m perfectly happy staying up right now. I’ve had the sleep deprivation induce really bad nightmares, hallucinations and thoughts focusing on death at this time after the fest when I’ve tried to force myself sleep before, so not trying to this time. Will sort itself by tomorrow evening when I will just drop - thankfully was able to take Tuesday off work this year!
  2. Were we at the same festival? Other than the Saturday night Shangri-La situation it was an absolute breeze getting around for me compared to some years - maybe it’s because I tend to get there a little later than others, more like 1am? Strolled into the Temple Friday and after Fred finished on Saturday, and the whole corner was probably the quietest I can remember it on Sunday night. IICON has done wonders for it (as has me getting a bit less wasted these days tbf). Did they close entry to Shangri-La around Skindred time on Thursday? I wouldn’t have noticed it being busy anywhere other than Truth or the Rocket Lounge that evening and they were fine, could pop from stage to urinals and back no problem.
  3. If GnR can get the nod then Green Day can too I reckon. Would be so much fun as well.
  4. Is this a possibility? Personally would be made up if it happened, really wanted and expected them at Glastonbury!
  5. What stadia has Florence played exactly 🤨
  6. Thundercat in for Cat Stevens and we’re the same! Would’ve been Sparks but I’m seeing them in May (but would love to see them on the farm too as I suspect that’ll be a very different experience, and possibly setlist, to the Royal Albert Hall).
  7. M83 is my main disappointment (only because I already have Pulp tickets, although they’d undoubtedly be much better on the farm than in Cardiff’s shitty arena!). Regret missing them last time for that iffy New Order set, who I’ve seen a couple of times since (when they were much better). They seemed nailed on - is there hope for them to be added do we think? Maybe one of a few fairly big male acts left off the poster for gender balance reasons? Can’t see why else they wouldn’t be on there (unless they’re not actually playing, obviously).
  8. They were replying to a tweet which just said ‘Genius!?!?!?’. Possible they might have thought the question was about Perfume Genius not boygenius? EDIT: I guess that would be a pretty dumb reply to give if their Twitter admin has seen the full lineup and boygenius are on there, but you never know.
  9. We have no way of actually knowing whether this is true or not, though. For all we know they were offered a slot but unfortunately they’re at their mate’s birthday party during the festival.
  10. If that was the point you were making then why were you repeatedly making out as if Eavis is coining it in at the expense of the acts and charities? I agree that the (limited, relative to the size of the event) charitable aspect in terms of donations is probably not much of a consideration for many performers. But what I expect they do consider when thinking about the reduced fee is that it’s not a profit-driven venture in the traditional sense either. Nobody would be wasting their time playing and just covering their costs (or worse) if they thought that everything they’d usually make at an equivalent-sized gig was going into someone else’s pocket.
  11. Half a million (some of which I assume genuinely is related to stopping the farm for 3 months) a year would be negligible spread over all the acts that play - it’s less than the pay ‘cut’ one headliner takes to perform. You really think bands are going to start demanding he pay himself nothing so they can get an extra £500 each, or otherwise refuse? They’re clearly happy to do it for some reason other than the money (provided they don’t actually make too much of a loss, I guess) - for a few it might be the charity donations, for a few more it’s probably the exposure, but I honestly think for quite a lot it’s just about being part of a fucking good party. And I fail to see why that would suddenly be any different now compared to 10 years ago.
  12. Kendrick has 5 albums plus a shitload of other tracks. The only bits you could possibly call filler in that set were off Mr Morale and that’s only really because they were so new. Hard agree with Matt here.
  13. Friend messaged that it's this https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2023-deposits/worthy-farm/2500000
  14. My friend is working the festival now, so needs to shift her ticket. Available here: https://tixel.com/u/annac39
  15. Echoing everything above. What a weekend. They pulled it off and then some - I think it might actually be better than it was before. In the words of Bob Vylan, Chat Shit, Get Banged.
  16. Mine is a Wednesday ticket, I’m getting the coach this afternoon - it doesn’t say a particular day on it at all.
  17. Friend of mine has decided to go to Green Man the week after instead, so there is a Wednesday ticket with Bristol coach travel available here if anyone wants it! https://ww2.theticketsellers.co.uk/q/a8dfc9210dbf4bb5b8df9954005c391e
  18. Yeah Truth Stage set was mega. Saw them do something similar there in the same slot in (I think) 2016 - mind-boggling stuff. Sadly skipped the Other set to get to Wet Leg nice and early but glad it was a good one. Also bumped into them by Avalon on Friday night. I was somewhat worse for wear (had just fallen into a ditch full of stinging nettles!) and I was probably a bit unbearable gushing about how wonderful they are, ‘Book of Traps and Lessons is one of my favourite albums of all time’ etc etc, but they were (of course) absolutely lovely and then we went our separate ways.
  19. Shout out to Charlotte Adigery + Bolis Pupul’s wonderful, if underattended (clashed with Diana) Lonely Hearts Club set yesterday as well.
  20. Bob Vylan (although a shame it ended up such a short set) and Warmduscher absolutely tore the roof off the Truth Stage on Saturday night. The latter was one of the loudest, wildest things I’ve ever seen. Giant Swan were quality on Wow on Thursday too.
  21. Now, they say this if anyone asks, and I understand why, but honestly I think if you rocked up at the box office on site having missed the coach and got there by other means and explained the situation then they'd get you in.
  22. Don’t they only do this when the act self-confirms, like Billie (and McCartney last time)?
  23. I’m pretty sure it did but they just gave some ‘special permission at the request of the band’ or suchlike for them to play G?
