  1. Easily. Open with a Taylor/Fearless/Speak Now Set. Day 2 Red/1989/Rep Day 3 Lover/Folklore/evermore....midnight Three two hour sets absolutely possible.
  2. Absolutely superb news. Pre-order sorted
  3. Recently saw Pearl Jam/Pixies and Duran Duran at Hyde Park. Both absolutely stellar. I could definitely see both on the farm. Next up Lady Gaga and having seen the setlist for the opening night, I cannot wait!
  4. Takes a while, this was my 8th and this was the first year I actually took your points on board, and yes it did improve my experience. This year was a good one for figuring out how to enjoy the festival without burning out for me.
  5. Went to PJ on Friday, flipping superb and I do wish I had done both nights now. having heard horror stories from the Elton shows I was actually pleasantly surprised by how everything worked at Hyde park, it was ok. Also went to Duran Duran yesterday, also flipping excellent. They would smash the crap out of Sunday afternoon on the Farm.
  6. Definitely upgrade my sleeping facilities. I'll be getting a camping bed next time, I don't think you can skimp on this now. We too are giving thought to arriving Thursday, although I'd still prefer the Wednesday, but I think Wednesday would be a camp day, get some food on and just relax rather than slog around the site. As for my scheduling I already put a ruthless plan in action this year, where I prioritised convenience over Wishlist and I had a very enjoyable experience and missed the queuing and crushes that sadly befell many attendees this year. At no point did I feel I was sacrificing quality for convenience, just accepting that there some acts I couldn't make. I'd spend more time in the Greenpeace area next time too, I found myself really enjoying my time there this year. A good alternative to an oversubscribed Park. My future Glastonbury's should I get ticket will be more scaled back affairs and hopefully all the more enjoyable for it.
  7. I'm a vegan and ironically I think the festival does a very good promoting veganism. The site is full of vegan messaging and loads of great vegan food. We do not live in a vegan world and short of locking ourselves indoors there is very little chance of finding ourselves in exclusively vegan environments, so we make do and mend. I personally reconcile my attendance at a dairy farm with the positive humanity that is on show at the Glastonbury Festival. Each time I visit my faith in humanity is restored and I think that is worth something, Glastonbury is more than just a music festival, there is that added dimension to it. It's a shame Eavis is a dairy farmer, as I regard him as a great humanitarian.
  8. I moved mid set during Macca. First half up by Row Mead second half bottom corner just below the Mandela Bar.
  9. Personally I managed to have a pretty crush and crowd free Glastonbury, it was one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much. The reason for that was accepting that I was not going to make everything on my list and just using my experience of previous Glasto's to have a reasonable idea where the pinch points would be. I was also better at finding the quiet spots (and they were there) than I would have been in the past It was really only Wet Leg and Elvana on Thursday that I was involved in what could be described as irritating crowds. Still it is clear that there were issues this year. Park/Arcadia at popular times; William Green on Thursday; West Holts when it is over subscribed. I think a review of the the entry and exit points, scheduling and possible new one-way systems that are clearly marked would not be out of order. If the rumours re Sticklinch are true then obviously review the arrangements there also. I camped there and my wristband was checked twice each evening on my return and I did see security resolutely refuse entry to anyone without one, so clearly there was some sort of crackdown. It's a busy festival and I think it gets most things right, I think the OP correctly points out the three year gap and COVID did cause some issues with the organisation this year, hopefully this year's experience will enable the organisers to mitigate the difficulties that some festival goers had this year.
  10. Very few regrets this year. I have finally realised my limits and didn't over do it, and I modified my daily schedule for ease of use rather than bring around the site trying toes everyone and everything. One thing I do regret is for the first time not visiting the Theatre & Circus fields. It's weird how my festival just panned out that way, very bizarre. Other than that it was just best time and may have even knocked my 2009 debut from it's perch atop my all-time favourite Glastonbury.
  11. That is a pretty good location to be fair.
  12. We've stayed in both and we'd be looking to return to Sticklinch. The walk is the deal breaker, it's no bother at all. Also being right next to Rigs Field you feel more a part of the festival too. The toilets were fine, they were clean and stocked throughout the full six days and maintained for large parts of the day by stewards who made sure any queue was not going to last too long. WV is fine though and if you have a scout tent nearer Pennrd Gate you have a fairly short walk to the heart of the festival, so each to their own really, but we are now Sticklinch campers.
  13. I stand corrected, I was just thinking of the tents, never gave a thought to the bunk pads
  14. Bugger. Might be worth looking at lightweight camp beds that could take the place of your tent with your luggage.
  15. It's bring your own. My friend brought a camp bed with her, needless to say that was the smart option. ticket gods willing I'll be doing the same next year. Obviously with no need to bring a tent there is more room in the car for extra bedding.
  16. I've always used one device one browser and just refresh, keep it simple. It's worked most times 09/10/11 were pretty easy, 15 was resale on my phone, 16 coach sale on phone, 17 coach sale at home, 19 regular sale at home, 20-22 regular sale at home. One device one browser each time. I'm giving the credit to sheer flipping luck.
  17. That was pretty funny and nicely self-deprecating. One thing the author is right about though, what was it with the Bucket Hats this year? I did not get that memo I stuck with my Panama.
  18. I'll be all over the tour. However seeing Swifty at the farm would truly be special. If I miss out the tour will be the consolation prize.
  19. Tested negative this morning so I'm clear. Just one of my group of six tested positive.
  20. Very easy indeed. Absolutely no problem whatsoever. For me this is really the main selling point of WV and SL it makes Day 1 and Day 6 a lot easier to handle.
  21. Fleetwood Mac would be an amazing booking. I'm happy to see them without Lindsay (in fact the only time I have seen them he wasn't there) I'd rather see a group of people who all want to been stage together, I want to have fun and if the band are then that only increases. Lindsay is a phenomenal guitarist and not having him play I'm So Afraid would be a huge loss, but one I can live with. Bloody hell FM and Taylor my T-Day anxieties are now going through the roof!
  22. I really liked it. Toilets were clean and stocked all week, if you were up before 7.30 getting a shower was a breeze. Wouldn't have minded some more seating by the food or maybe a communal fire for when you returned of an evening, but other than that I thought it was excellent. Less food options than WV but to be honest you were literally next door to the festival so that was not so much of a problem. We are definitely rebooking if we get tickets next year.
  23. 1. Phoebe 2. Pet Shop Boys 3. Macca Other sets that deserve to be in there Olivia, Skunk Anansie, Turnstile, Self Esteem (Greenpeace), Nova Twins (GP), Supergrass, Cassette Boy and many more....
