  1. Reading between the lines a lot (esp. as the only headliner we have confirmed isn't British) I reckon the reason she went off that tweet is because they will announce a second headliner this month and then the 3rd and final will be announced on the lineup poster itself, as the poster will then demonstrate the complete set of headliners, thereby answering that tweet's question. So in short, we will get the same headliner announcement schedule as they did in 2020.
  2. This. I think it will be emerging talent comp without any specific lineup announcement but an interview that gives out some useful info

    Aerosmith?

Do we think these cancellations from US artists and ongoing Covid travel uncertainty may lead to a delay in the poster drop? Surely it's easier PR wise for the festival to not release the lineup until acts are more certain about whether they will actually be able to make it than releasing the poster and then getting cancellations? People can't be annoyed if an act cancels before the poster is released
  4. I thought that was Starmers best speech I’ve seen him do, powerful stuff and the silence in the chamber was noticeable that it was hitting home for a lot of them

    Mobile Tickets

How would it work with the coach too? If you had a digital ticket, people would just not bother with the coach which is more environmentally damaging than printing paper tickets
  6. If my memory serves me correctly (could be dreaming it!) west holts announced their lineup before the main poster. I wanna say around 2013/2014 time
  7. What’s coming first? Glasto headliner announcement or sue gray report?
  8. Not Starmers best performance at PMQs, I think Johnson got off lightly there

  10. Is it just me or does this delay point massively towards corruption between the police and no. 10?
  11. I think I read somewhere Sue Grays report is likely to be released on Thursday, so the letters won’t go in straight away, rather they will wait until the new working week as most MPs go back to their constituencies on Friday so wouldn’t be around for the vote of no confidence as i think it is up to Johnson when that vote is called. The timing of it can have a big impact on the success (they were talking about this on Peston last week with May’s chief of staff - worth a watch) so the MPs submitting letters need to be strategic as/when they put the letters in. That’s why I reckon the vote will be called early next week to give it the best chance of succeeding in getting him out
  12. To add to this, the announcement yesterday that majority of remaining covid restrictions will be lifted by next week may also give them some confidence to go ahead and announce if any uncertainty about it going ahead remained
  13. Crazy how fast these things all move and how fast the house of cards comes tumbling down
  14. Ever heard of leading by example? Enough said, he has to go. I do hear what you’re saying about Cameron and Blair etc but this isn’t just about the fact he broke his own rules, it’s more wide reaching than that. It’s about the trust of the public in politicians (and the police) living and abiding by their own rules and ensuring that the population can trust them that they have our best interests at heart. These are the cornerstones of good democracies so Johnson’s actions are more wise reaching than him just getting a fine for breaking lockdown rules. Politicians have to be held to account and if they’re not it’s a slippery slope
  15. His wife and child aren’t there eating and drinking with him though are they?
  16. Do the cabinet care about them though? They’re all out for themselves. Example in point being Rees-Mogg calling leader of the tories in Scotland lightweight on national tv. Surely if they were concerned about this they would have got rid of him already? There still aren’t the required number of letters of no confidence submitted yet. I also think to be honest some of the councillors losing seats are baked in even if all this party stuff hadn’t happened given the squeeze on the populations finances coming in April. If people are poorer under the tories, why would they vote for them? Isn’t that the tories raison d’etre? Fuck everyone else as long as I’m alright financially.
  17. If Sue Gray’s report doesn’t get rid of him, then the electorate will at the local elections in May. I think this is the plan anyway, given the difficulties coming from the energy cap being removed and NI going out in April. Keep Johnson in over this period to take the hit and then boot him out after the elections, so his successor can have a clean slate
  18. This thread explains why deaths from Omicron may seem higher than they actually are
  19. This thread very encouraging and suggests that if future variants follow omicron in being less severe then the pandemic as a lethal killer is basically over.
  20. Yep, I was in holborn today, pretty quiet, a lot of the cafes aren’t open, not sure about shops as there aren’t many high street shops in holborn
  21. Tomorrow is important as thats when we get info on what proportion of admissions are those already in hospital for something else who then contract Covid vs those who are hospitalised because of Covid. Given Omicrons higher transmissibility, this will probably mean that the proportion of those who catch it while in hospital will be higher than for previous variants, which should help make the picture a little clearer
  22. You can't have a fourth jab currently, so my original point stands
