  1. Definitely. We came to this festival initially based on the indie/90s heavy line up and been hooked ever since. But it’s a fair old trek and we abandon the sprogs for 4 nights 🤣 This will be our last year of booking anything prior to a major lineup announcement anyway, time to try somewhere new. Anyone know when they usually release the stage split? The acoustic and seaside (I think) usually have a bit of something I like too. Honestly was convinced the cribs would be announced this time round!
  2. Is it too optimistic to be hoping for another lineup announcement on top of this? 😬
  3. Wow, that will be awesome, would love to see her
  4. Always wanted to go to this festival but logistics are a bit of pain for us travelling. Anyway, reckon a few of these could come vics way? Would love Black Grape, Miki Berenyi (of lush), Danny “supergrass” Goffey and Boo Radleys. Most others have played vic before!
  5. 🤣 as long as this map has a wee bar with some nice local beers id be quite happy
  6. Ok so no announcement this week, but it definitely feels like they’re ramping up the comms. Pretty much daily this week. Fingers crossed for Monday now!
  7. I went for… Pulp - as IOW beat us to them this year Richard Ashcroft - still bitter about the year that never was Ray Davies - not a hope in hell but why not!
  8. Looks decent, Weller adds the legend I think we’re missing this year. Don’t think there are many we can pinch. Pigeon Detectives would be ideal, Mystery Jets too and maybe a few smaller acts. I reckon there must be one more surprise up vics sleeve unless tickets are selling unbelievably well!
  9. Would be nice to get Starsailor and Gruff Rhys from the Cottingham fest announcement Also think Boo Radleys could be a possibility. Imagine Wake Up Boo in the Southsea sun!
  10. I was a tad excited to see a vic email this morning ☹️ Monday too soon? Well, hopefully next week sometime
  11. Think there’s a Cribs shaped hole in the victorious line up! 🤞🤞
  12. I went to IOW 2011 and remember being disappointed with the headliners because they’d had Bowie, McCartney, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Sex Pistols, The Police, REM and the Who in the years immediately prior And yet, in 2011 the line up included Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Iggy Pop, Joan Jett, Pulp, Tim Burgess, Manic Street Preachers, Courteeners, the cult, Beady Eye, PIL, Ian Broudie, Nick Lowe, Tom Jones, Jeff Beck, Cast and Boy George to name a few 🤣🤣🤣 what I’d give for a lineup like that now
  13. Certainly looks like IOW are spending far more on headliners than Vic. Only Pulp really my cup of tea, but can appreciate the size of the other acts and Chemical Brothers especially would have been a good fit Sunday. Still hoping folk are won’t about castle headliners (unlikely I know) or that a 3rd stage has bands more to my taste
  14. Sunday especially… wondering if they’ll rethink Ben howard as castle headliner and move to common sub for Mumford? To a lesser extent the same on Friday with Pete tong subbing JK. The charlatans could easily headline the castle Kasabian are the only headliner with a bit of bite imo, and less clashy on the sat than the other days Also, from what I can see they’ve only officially announced common headliners and afternoon slots, so hoping the majority of folk are wrong with stage predictions 🤞
  15. I do find that really odd, not because of his popularity but because he’s a very similar style (in my opinion) to Mumford. I imagine there will be largely 2 camps, those that have to pick between the 2, and those who don’t want to see either even spotify backs me up 🤣🤣
  16. Happy for the folk whose day it has made, but just not for me. Saturday is my packed for me, but could do with a few more to my taste on the Friday/Sunday. The Enemy, Blinders and Johnny Marr are all I fancy so far, but will check out newer bands before we go, always get a couple of nice surprises hoping for The Cribs, Gaz Coombes and a few others to get announced at the end of the month
  17. That would be me and I’m pretty gutted about this announcement… “Bum fun for your mum”…really… I must set my expectations too high… Pretty sure folk were saying Ben Howard would headline the castle stage, really hoping they are wrong and there is something more my cuppa tea still to be announced instead.
  18. I just had a thought about Garbage… they’d tick all the boxes for victorious headliner. On tour in the US with Noel Gallagher as support 😮 tour finishes up mid July so always potential for uk tour later in the summer, squeezing in Sunday headliner a lot. Not very likely I know…
  19. Just give us Liam after his wee tease, with Ashcroft subbing on the Sunday. That’d do the job! Someone mentioned Tom Jones earlier. For me if he played Victorious he’d be the afternoon special guest. With regards the poster, surely we have a good few more names to add? Given Friday is a full day, rather than just single stage for the evening? Would love to see Chris Helme added with dodgy, they’ve been doing a few shows together and Chris on the acoustic stage banging out some seahorses classics is what victorious is all about for me
  20. I’m feeling more optimistic 😁 with 3 full days I’m expecting a really good announcement in March. Always some diamonds on the smaller stages too
  21. Connect just announced, same weekend as victorious. Reckon we could share a few? Franz Ferdinand are a good shout, not sure if much else
  22. Pulp would be a brilliant closer but I think there’s about as much chance of them as Blur playing 🤣 I would love to be wrong on that by the way! still think The Who are a shout or a Weller return
