The festival will get away with it for the odd occurrence, but keep doing it & they’ll end up having the license revoked. They probably bent the rules for McCartney because they felt it was worth it. They didn’t for Lana because she was late of her own making & entitled.

I’d have found that much more enjoyable to watch.

They were amazing. Totally nailed it. I was at Slipknot in 09 when they first headlined, had the same sort of feeling.

Yep, they accidentally posted it on their website tour dates before official confirmation, then the festival got cancelled before they were ever officially announced. They were doing Glastonbury & two arena dates in July.

I personally think Aerosmith will do Glastonbury (having originally been booked for 2020) and a ‘final’ UK date at BST.

It was mentioned on the booking screen when I got mine, it explicitly said the lead booker had to attend and resale was not permitted, even had to check a box to say I agreed to those terms (that was AXS, not sure about Ticketmaster) However from what’s been said since it sounds like the e ticket QR code will randomly change every couple of minutes on the app to prevent resale, so if you have access to the account that purchased the tickets I’d guess you’ll be fine.

Got mine, pretty easy given the demand. Much prefer AXS system to Ticketmaster!

I don’t think it’s been moved, it was probably always the 9th July - her website is just listing the first date of the festivals she’s playing… for example Glastonbury says 21st June & the Canadian festival date says 6th July when she’s actually playing on the 15th July.

Can’t see that selling well, would have thought it might have made more sense to market Erykah Badu as the headliner over Jungle as well? Will keep an eye out for cheap tickets closer to the time, Badu is brilliant live.

Is Danzig likely? I can’t find any other info besides the date in Poland.

That wasn’t a dj set, it was a live set. His music career has always been huge in Germany & Austria (no idea why).

Avenged Sevenfold, MCR, Green Day

2008 was supposed to be Rammstein, Rage Against the Machine and Foo Fighters with Judas Priest, Offspring and Lostprophets subbing. Kiss were told to bugger off when they approached the festival. RATM went with the higher offer for two shows at R&L, Foos decided to do their own tour dates instead and Rammstein cancelled touring plans. That’s the reason Kiss were invited back & paid over the odds & the rest of the lineup was weak. It’s also the reason I think that Andy has settled with the likes of Kiss, Maiden, Leppard etc instead of trying harder to get Foos, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Green Day etc. as those acts get offers from other places and can fill their own stadium dates thus a lot harder to tie down.

Take all of my money. Ghost should not sub though, save them to headline 2024. Parkway Drive are also way too far down the line up.

Disagree. Ghost should stay away until they’re asked to headline. Otherwise they risk slipping into the sub forever category.

I was considering a Saturday day ticket but I’ll pass now that Creeper, Mastodon & Deftones all clash. The stage times really highlight how poor the lineup is this year.

Yep this would be an instant ticket for me. Great line up & exactly the direction the festival should be going in.
