Someone said that it’s part of their license agreement that they ahve to say they’re sold out to stop loads of ticketless people turning up on the day. It clearly doesn’t mean they actually have to stop selling tickets as ticket master are still trying to shift them!

It will be interesting to see if you notice any differences this year It’s been the other way round at Reading since the format change. It has felt half empty at most times the last couple of years (bar the MSE headliners)

Yes, given that they’ve not sold out LESS camping tickets and traditionally they sell out well before day tickets, I think it’s safe to assume day tickets have not sold well either… The talk of death is massively exaggerated, they’ll need try a different approach though. With the campsite issues, they can’t rely on a load of teenagers to sell out the festival whatever. All of Red and more than half of White, with just a small space in Orange to add to it Camping Capacity is significantly reduced Blue area was all Camping/ Campervans last year. The cam melt and have been moved to where there used to be camping too so in effect all is lost campsite

Taken a longer look at this. They've clawed back some of what is lost, with the reclaim of the Silent disco space in Orange, overall though there is significantly less camping space available than last year Red has gone completely, with the additional space taken at that part of the site, camping plus, replacing a lot of what used to be green. In addition, it looks like a large chunk of white has gone.... Map Blacked out areas are lost, sky blue area gained.

Campsite layout seems to have chang d a little colourwise No more Red, so we can probably assume tickets sales are down at least 10-15% or so

I’m loathed to say it when I’m otherwise always advocating choice but I’d be happy to see the comedy tent go if it meant they could get a proper big tent back into that area and have an FR stage+ that sits somewhere between the old R1 tent and the FR tent band size wise. Could still host larger dance acts and give up and coming bands later slots rather than lashing them on at 2pm-4pm when there’s no one bothered to see them. Only problem is the entrance there
