No stage at car henge.

Thanks for all your hard work Neil keeping the site going over the years and good luck in the future. I've never been the most active of posters but what you have created here as really meant a lot and been a great part of my life over the last 10 years or so. Thank you.

Wouldn't be surprised if more people watch mik's ego trip over the 5 days than some main stage headliners.

This shipping container seems to appear when the cover goes on the stage so can't be far off getting dressed.

I could be wrong but i think a small green shipping container normally appears on the fence line behind the pyramid which has the skin inside. the same container stays for the duration then vanishes again when the stage is naked. Crazy how if true i can remember that but struggling to remember what last nights tea was.

Did i read somewhere that the licence is held by the land owner and not the festival and due to the layout bearded limits attendance lower than other events on the estate like bloodstock. The images below show the layouts of bearded and bloodstock and shows how they could fit the big top stage in.

James have announced a festival on the Sunday 28th of may so could be them for fri/sat. Not sure how they could fit them in though.

I think the big top tent would have to hold 2000 at least to have any impact on spreading the crowd over the site and need to be on the main support road with enough space to hold a few touring bands and equipment. Almost like the avalon tent or the big top at beautiful days. Then it will need a bar and toilets to support it. When you think of the extra crew and tech support plus the acts its surprising that ticket costs haven't increased more than they have. Surely they will have to cut back on something, maybe it will be the amount acts or cutting the thursday acts.

Cool All sounds good for are lot at the moment. The ticket price looks like a bit of a hike but its been 4 years since i last bought them and was expecting around that.

The info so far then is capacity is the same as this year, still take your own booze in and a new stage (big top). Also the school is staying. No mention yet on what if any stages been cut.

Deacon Blue They are still going strong and could easily fill the acoustic like in 2011 up against a Friday pyramid headliner from the indie shelf.

He was getting emotional towards the end of the set too. Just goes to show even one of the most hard faced gits around can have a little Glastonbury moment.

I can understand why more lanes didn't open because from the inside it just looked normal busy but the Queue outside was at the back of east 20. only after a good 45min long Queue did all lanes inward open up. If security are not letting enough in so the Queue maybe backs up to the bag search area then it would never look like you need more lanes open. i would happily place a bet that the same security team did the gate at the bottom of the hill on friday and sunday but not saturday. the oxfam stewards where great as always once we got to them.

I've been in C/V east since 2011 and it was a mess on Friday and Sunday its never took a hour to get in before even at the peak times. I don't think the problem was the ticketing stewards but more the security for holding up the flow of people over the flow of traffic on the lane. when it did start to flow well they stopped the traffic which looked like 4x4s dropping off glamping guests.

I wouldn't worry too much and can't see much changing that we would notice. The anti-terrorism measures have been in place for the last few festivals and its hard to notice them but they are in place to react if the worst ever happened.

The smoke machines have been upgraded this year.

It could be loose wood chippings. They put them down early on places with heavy foot traffic.

Horrible situation to be in this is and it really makes my blood boil. If it was me i would block the sorting office gates with a vehicle and cause them as much trouble as you can. get your friends involved and get it going live on social media. Just because someone can't be arsed to do there job right the ticket holder shouldn't be treated like this.

I'll be leaving the north west on sunday morning and staying with the eldest in Yatton for a night. A trip to the thatchers shop in bamwell for some fresh stuff then meeting up with my festival family monday night for the last supper before heading to pylle lane in convoy to campervan east on tuesday. This time next week i'll be sitting in a camp chair drinking cider with worthy fm on the radio in the best place on earth.

Looks like the Avalon field has been changed round a bit. The Avalon inn is at the top of the field where the main stage has been the last few years.
