I have struggled with my mobility over the last couple of years with arthritis in my hips so 2022 I was using a stick and took a folding stool which was helpful. There is some limited stone bench-seating at the edges of pyramid and some areas of the site near food and drink places. Or you can sit on the ground with a blanket- more difficult if it’s muddy or wet though. You can take fold up chairs anywhere and a lot of people do but not allowed inside tented stages - best to sit further back obviously if at the main stages as it’s too busy to sit nearer the front. Lots of places to just sit and chill though if you get tired and have a chair with you. Most of the food places and bars also have seated areas. be prepared to walk a lot though - the site is 8 miles round and can take an hour or more to walk across- with my stick I averaged 8-10km a day which was lower than previously- at about 15km a day and not being particularly fit. It’s a huge site with many different areas. If you have specific disabilities then you can contact the accessibility team as there are accessible platforms with seats for those who are eligible.

Wandering round SEcorner during daytime when it’s less hectic - you can see stuff easy to miss when it’s dark

Has anyone volunteered with Greenpeace before ? Any pros/cons?

Also tents in the pyramid field - 1986

Oxfam campaign slots still open for Glastonbury though you have to choose another festival too and complete application.

After We failed to get 2023 tickets ( main and resale) for the first time after over 20 Glastonbury’s we tried everything to get a volunteer spot/ entered every competition with no luck. My niece was determined to get priority for Oxfam this year so did 2 festivals- IoW and Boomtown. We failed again for 24 😫but she had Oxfam priority ready to apply only to be offered a rare litter picking crew place instead 😃 So you never know - sometimes the Glastonbury gods do shine through!!

Rumours are the bookies having stopped taking odds on headliners. Might be time to stand by your bed’s tomorrow??!

In case anyone was looking to book the university accommodation this is now available to book! Rees Hall and Burrell House literally across the road to Southsea Common.

All went smoothly and was back home within 48hours of op! Recovering with painkillers and support from family and the cats 😊 Fingers crossed I can get back to fitness soon. Just waiting to hear now if my application for voluntary redundancy with early retirement has been accepted and 2024 will be perfect!

Such a great live band- always come away from one of their gigs bouncing and smiling.

Good news - was rung on Thursday by hospital to say they had a slot for my 2nd hip replacement surgery this Weds!! Manic couple of days sorting out work and care arrangements. Have been moved onto the nhs private contract at the local Nuffield in Bournemouth but keep the same consultant. Wasn’t lucky in main sale this year but will still try in resale/volunteering in the hope I am fit enough. The other hip was done end March last year so 2 new hips in 10 months is a miracle! Fingers crossed all goes well again. Wish me luck 😀

It’s specifically refers to employees and EPO wristbands holders bringing in banned substances and not being invited back - not general public.

I spoke to a family camped near us a few years back - baby was 6 weeks old. There are plenty of people on site to support mum in Kidz camping field with a quiet nursing area etc. only issue maybe noise and protection of ears but baby sling carrier easier than buggy. It will all depend on how Mrs J feels travelling back and forth which could be tiring. Campervan maybe easier /quieter option??

Also worth periodically checking to see if any come back on sale before the re-sale on the Seetickets site
-
Both played Victorious festival this year - went down well with the demographic there.
-
There have been some on sale this morning- worth keep checking back as some people have bought duplicate ones.

Yep my money is on Cher. She loves England, she’s touring next year, she’s 77yrs old now and is definitely a legend! She must know how iconic Glastonbury is. Shania Twain - not really a legend slot for the Uk.
