  1. June 2007 this was started wow. Still a good read and very funny if you have time.
  2. I didn't spot it, but if remember rightly the photos had been archived, so it is back to how it was all those years ago?
  3. I used to like the one with the photo of the boy with no legs as well. But sadly I haven't seen that for a very long time.
  4. I actually really like that, and the weight limit is 130kgs so I can just about get my fat arse on it. Like you said much easier than the chairs
  5. I have never ever given a downvote. But I am sorely tempted with that one. That is the most controversial thing I have read so far.
  6. Yeah I just popped over to Clashfinder to check that. I guess Lamb will only be doing 45 mins roughly then!
  7. So if Lamb are on at 22:00 then The Hoosiers are going to be headlining later?
  8. Aren't Lamb Saturday night headliner in Avalon?
  9. In 2016 I burned through my 12000 mAh Anker in about 2 days, so I took it to the guy with the van + solar panels in the Greenfields and he charged the Anker for me. Got a new phone now (S22U) with a 5000 mAh battery, and gonna have to buy a new battery pack 25000+ battery pack. Would like to go with Anker but haven't found one that size for £25 yet
  10. Brilliant, thanks for posting that I have got then on my list but hadn't searched for them yet
  11. I am one of those miserable people that likes to start up a conversation with a random, mostly in the Avalon Inn and normally while standing on the balcony. Only a few mins but while I am wandering around on my own its nice to chat to someone. Sorry if it was you and I was boring 😄
  12. The screens round the Pyramid and Other stage are completely shit. The festival need to get with the times and put massive Reading style screens on the 2 main stages. The view from the back of the Pyramid field is terrible.

    Glastocam!

When do we normally expect the fence build to start? I can't remember, and where does it normally first come into view on the camera?
  14. I was gonna say Chinese Lanterns as well. It was an amazing sight.

    Club Covid

Genuine question so please don't hammer me, but with the current Covid laws in the UK. If you tested positive in the preceding few days of the festival, would you actually stay at home and skip the festival. I guess this is especially relevant if you are asymptomatic.
  16. Out of 9, I have had 1 dry festival (2010) the rest have ranged from Wet to OMG. and I have done 2 with a kid. And I have had a lot of Growlers.

That genuinely made me LOL. Have and upvote sir. The sooner that horse rides off into the sunset the better
  18. It's a good plan but I think you are under estimating the times and traffic. 4 hours from Leeds to the East side is a really short time. I think you need time allow another 2 hours. For example I left Telford at 2.30am in 2016 and was in the queue about 05:30am. And that was west side. East side is longer in my opinion.
  19. Car parks open at 9pm. Probably easier arriving around then, having a kip in the car. But the queues will be starting to get big from around 4am. But if you aren't fussed about camping in one of the main areas, then I would leave it till Wednesday morning and arrive about 10:00am and you should just about walk straight in
  20. 10 up for me this year. I have done 2005/11/16 all were very grim. 2005 was bad because I was pushing a 3 wheeled buggy around in that mud, and they put straw down on the trackway and the front wheel on the buggy got jammed up and I had to carry the buggy after that. 2011 was very strange, I think it rained heavily up until Saturday lunchtime, then the sun came out. I was in full wet weather gear and suddenly sweating badly. Also on the Sunday it was about 26 degrees sunshine the humidity was terrible and Paul Simon was absolutely shit on the Pyramid. But the worst of the previous 9 by far for me was 2016. The mud was terrible, wore wellies for 5 days solid, Sunday morning I was broken and nearly bailed. Rang the Mrs for support, then said sod it and opened a tin of Dark Fruits Cider and didnt look back after that. But I skipped 2017 because of 2016 and didnt get a ticket in 2019.
  21. I did 3 years in a row about 3 tents back from the path directly in the middle of the other stage field. Even that far back from the path when Blondie played there were people all around our tents. The Sunday night in 2016 I was woken up by 2 girls pissing on the side of the tent. Like said previously it seemed noisy all the time due to people walking back and forth either from Silver Hayes or Arcadia etc... My friends all wanted to camp there every year and the protestors were outnumbered. Well never again for me!!

I for one will be glad when the crane has gone. It looks so ugly and out of place in that environment
  23. Thats a good idea, but at £52.50 is not a cheap idea! Taxi to B&W, Shuttle to Gate A, Shuttle to WV would probably take about an hour longer but would be free. Of course if you haven't got much stuff you can see if the taxi will drop you by the side of the road near Gate A but it is risky but I have seen it done, just need to watch out for the Police and Stewards.
  24. 2016 our group arrived about 5:30am. We split into 2, the people going through Gate D got in about 20 mins quicker than me at Gate A.
