Glastocam!
in Chat
I can't remember how to share pics from the camera, but someone should share a pic of the noticeboard!

Blimey, the visuals at Afterlife do look awesome.
I want to go to Afterlife Tulum. Truly looks like nothing else anywhere.
However, if anyone watched Peggy Gou at Coachella, her backdrop was pretty impressive as well. Sadly we won't be getting that on the Park stage anytime soon.

Oh and the visuals behind the bands on the main stages have improved A LOT, lol.
Agreed but sadly it is not up to the standard of even Reading/Leeds, let alone something truly brilliant like Afterlife.

There will be loads of space in Riggs Field on the Friday

Vodafone has taken over from EE, an INIU 20000mah power bank is relatively cheap and should see you through the weekend unless you hammer your phone.
Pyramid and Other stage both have barriers at the front.
Avalon Inn has changed layout and is not as good as 10 years ago. The upper deck seating area is always rammed.
IICON and The Temple are amazing stages if you consider they are in a field in the middle of Somerset. Same goes for the pier.
A lot has changed, and a lot is basically the same.

Hi, if I was to drop of some extra heavy stuff for people arriving by coach how close can you arrive to the coach drop off points by car? I assume coach drop off is strictly coaches only?
Thanks
It is very difficult to get close at all. You certainly cannot get close to the bus station, and I think you would most likely be blocked from the Private Bus and Taxi Rank as well. I have seen cars pull over at the side of the road by the crossing near Pink 51, but your friends would have to come out of the site to meet you, and you would have to be incredibly quick.
The correct answer is for them to meet you at the proper drop off point at the B&W showground.

Also, if you have no luck, then they could go Gen Pop and camp in Rigg's Field which is right by the entrance to Sticklinch and normally has plenty of space.

I would keep an eye on the booking page for the next couple of weeks. The final cancellation deadline is 23:59 on the 3rd May, there will probably be the odd tent pop up between now and then and possibly for a few days after.

£69,600 inc. VAT wow. I think this wins the most expensive award, luckily I don't have 13 friends otherwise I would be tempted. 🤔

It's not a F&B one?
It is, even in the beige colour.

Given how often we’ll use it, it’ll be the former of those.
Thanks will have a look.
It's the Halfords 4 person tunnel tent. It's not strictly a blackout tent, but the inner bedroom is black and it is considerably cheaper than the proper Quecha ones
-
Cheaper than Sticklinch and Worthy View 2 man tents as well.

After securing tickets this morning, we can start planning our trip.
First on the agenda, a new tent!
So recommendations please for a 4-man black out tent.
Will only be used once per year for a the festival.
What should we go for?
What's your budget? Halfords have one at £135, or you can go full Quecha F&B Air for about £400

We kept refreshing and managed to get a 2 man scout tent in Sticklinch that suddenly popped up as available. Booking completed at 11.13. Fingers crossed for you that more become available in the next few weeksI got one at 11:22. Was bonkers how fast tents were coming and going in that 22 mins. Couldn't click fast enough. But just refreshed and refreshed and got one. Very relieved.

Wow got in at 09:02 and no 2 person tents left at all. Only 4 person. And they have all gone now as well

Fibre to the long drop. Hilarious

Cheapest option with parking at Sticklinch is £490 which is quite a lot more expensive than this option if you already have your own tent. Plus there is never enough toilets and showers for everyone at Sticklinch.
I would assume that as this is a relatively new option, and most people would have already sorted their plans for 2024 then it won't be super busy. So could be really good option.
