I was a big fan of Drenge. Love all 3 albums and superb live act. I've no idea why they seem to have disappeared but it's a big loss.

YES! - Drenge were class, met them one night at a PEACE gig.

They were talking about being so skint while touring, they did a festival in Poland and could only get fish in milk in the artist area LOL.

Reflection of what I value and the festival's direction diverging. Not to sound glib but I feel sorry for kids going to Glasters who like guitar music nowadays. I'm old, ignore me, honestly. Its like asking a pterosaur their opinion on taxation policy.

I'm still confused, are you saying there isn't enough?

Not much space between tents for fires these days is there?

You can head to Stone Circle for fires, they seem a fun bunch - they have balloons too 🤪

Frightens me death to thinking of a fire in some of those campsites - its so tightly packed.

These longdrops went up over the last couple of days:

I didn't want this to be missed due to all the excitement over the dropping off of the Pyramid covers.

I've only been once so grasping the places layout empty is near impossible.

Out of interest, where are those long-drops on the site

  5. Don't again remember if I've posted. But for those with single/double airbeds and dont want either huge old foot-pump or heavy battery powered pump. These are beauty.

It'll take a fair while to do a reasonable sized double, but just plug and leave it.

    It's dinky.

I battled through a HEAVING crowd to get to the toilet (despite being incredibly far back) with a double buggy last year because my 5 year old needed a wee. Be sensible and just go to the toilet.

Bet you were very popular haha!

  7. New tactic last year - to keep the buzz on but without consuming large quantities of liquid.

Just microdosed Jager with shots every 20 mins.

No chance you were getting to pissers in that crowd and back.

Seen too many of these with snapped off wheels - the fact they all move independently leaves them at risk of a big hit while facing sideways

OK - Mine was fine at 3 seperate festivals across all sorts of terrain.

    Those fields are managed?

Was so impressed with the campervan fields personally.

The stewards make sure everyone has plenty of room, it was kept incredibly tidy by the patrons too suprisingly.

We’ve got quiet east, never been in the campervan before. Thinking of arriving Tuesday night about 10pm. How quickly does the quiet campsite fill up?

Only from experience - very quickly but you're already a big walk away if you're closest to the front of the campervan area.

Being at the back probably adds 10 minutes walking, so I wouldn't worry too much.

fitted sheet, pillow and duvet all in a vacuum bag shrinks considerably. Get a little rechargable bed pump to shrink it down again for return journey.

My crappy pound shop vacuum bag split last year before I could repack it, but its easier on the way out as all the drink has gone

These guys pumps are unreal, some just a little bigger than a tube of Smarties and can pump up airbeds pretty easily.

I've spent a fortune on new bedding for the campervan. Ended up buying some of the duvalay extra sheets, then buying foam from foams4u, single duvets, straps etc. it could end up really good and saved myself several hundred squids, or I'm a mug. Either way, bouji bedding is happening.

We just got the Panda Topper - it's amazing. Feels comfier than my bed at home

Tuesday is lovely for the atmosphere and sleeping off the drive if you did the slog, but I wouldn't worry too much in terms of distance. We arrived Wednesday midday and we were in E17 which must have been one of the furthest back fields. They fill in a horseshoe, so you can end up closer turning up after. Your advantage is traffic - which is much lighter Weds morning and afternoon.

My tips would be - you aren't going to spend MUCH time at camp, that far off site, so do whatever it you need to do to maximise what having a van brings you. We went back once a day if that, because sometimes we'd traipse back to the van and decide to stay in and have an early night for an early start.

If you want to go Tuesday, and you can pull it off, it IS great. There's a lovely atmosphere watching the sun set. You can see over site. You can get a decent sleep in before waking up and heading on site while everyone else is slogging their way in with bags. It's a very decent warm up!

Can't emphasise enough, we'd spend 7am-10/11am at camp more or less and that was it once the main festival begins e.g. Wednesday.

We never once went back to the van during the day, it was just too much of a hike there and back time wise. We'd just pack our entire rucksack for the day.

Ah no… NOT the Glastonbury Sign hill above the Park…

I mean the Hill of Death (Slope of Mild Inconvenience) that takes you from PGC to the CamperVan fields(so outside the main fence)… it offers an excellent view over the site and is a gathering point for CV dwellers on Tuesday evening.. there is always a great buzz about the place.

    Ohhh really?!

Never knew that, stopped in Campervan last year but just chilled in the Van Thursday.

Will head down there to the hill this year then.
