  1. My favourite set (said btw as a huuuge Ezra fan) was the Felice Brothers in the 'old' tip tent and no entry controls (about 2009?). Whiskey in my whiskey was the perfect 2am lyric.
  2. Going to bid for Lazarus Kane. A nuts band that are an awful lot of fun. At GM Katy J joined them on stage for a song (and Lazarus himself joined Golden Dregs for their set), and I could see some combination of a bit of a Speedy Wunderground 'supergroup' thing going on - Squid / Lazarus / Black Midi etc.
  3. Squid were fantastic at GM, and packed out the Walled Garden stage. A SIGNIFICANT moshpit. Maybe because it was a surprise set (but not much of a surprise) they played quite a few new songs in their 45 minute slot (e.g. no Cleaner) but it received a brilliant reception. And they sounded very tight, nothing rusty about it whatsoever. Can't wait.
  4. will the both of you & denali just shhhhh! about them 😆!!?
  5. Top five (tough): Dry Cleaning: stunning, stunning headline set, they have come so far, one for the ages. Vlure: can't you cope with a touch of kitsch? just wow. 'mon Vlure! Working Mens Club: intense, brilliant, get in. Luke la Volpe: don't laugh. he may be over R1/2 friendly but on this stage, at this time, he was simply stunning. yes he might be Capaldi 2, but this was just wonderful. Just Mustard: no audience interaction, super serious, but brilliant. Devendorff drums ❤️
  6. The old style Latte forum seems a bit equivocal on Vlure. I personally thought they were stunning. Commitment is spot on comment, they may lack something or other (not much, for me) but Hamish and the guys are putting themselves out there. btw they partied all weekend, counts for a lot to me. Tix booked for Moth club.
