  1. Yeah I've never understood the S hook thing - you can just hang your bag on the latch you use to close the door.
  2. No worries - let us know what you try & whether it’s any good (especially when not chilled!)
  3. Yes, Lamb do play Gorecki live, setlist.fm have it as their most played song ever and joint most in 2019 (last time they toured): https://www.setlist.fm/stats/lamb-3bd6b090.html?year=2019 You can listen to the songs most often played live by all the acts playing the festival right here.
  4. They've done 5am on the Hell/Truth stage a few times. Quite the experience!
  5. The Glastonbury 2022 playlist now includes all the Avalon acts - the 4 songs each has played live the most at recent shows, based mainly on info from setlist.fm.
  6. I very much expect so. He and Abbott are regulars, said they were booked for 2020 and hoped to be back for 2021, and are playing IoW the week before.

Couldn't agree more. Great to have you back on these boards Mardy!
  8. Mama Jerk & The Ladyfingers and/or the equally great named Binbag Wisdom: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcDdsSuMINi/ Mentions Chris Tofu so Shangri La somewhere I assume. Added to the playlist.
  9. This big taste test of various cocktails etc in cans in the Grauniad might help those of us after more than just beer/cider: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2021/apr/07/canned-cocktail-extravaganza-critics-rate-100-summer-drinks-from-pina-colada-to-merlot Pocket Negronis get 5/5!
  10. I may don a sparkly jacket along those lines when at Worthy... but who TF is Sir Robin?? Recent additions to the playlist include self-confirmations Paul Oakenfold, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Rina Sawayama, India Jordan, Les Amazones d'Afrique, Telmary & HabanaSana, Hybrid Minds, North Base, Special Request, Horse Meat Disco, Mixmaster Morris, Mandidextrous, 3 Daft Monkeys, Sam J Martin, and rumours (almost confirmations) Sunflower Bean, Mannequin Pussy, Penelope Isles, Binbag Wisdom, Mama Jerk & The Ladyfingers,. Also updated tracks for Diana Ross (better mastered versions of the Supremes tracks), IDLES, Charli XCX, and Four Tet. And put the self-confirmed in alphabetical order like the rest of it - order of 'size' was starting to get tricky and this makes it more obvious.
  11. Needs its own thread(s). Loads to discuss.

    I'd like to see/hear Elvana's version.
  13. I doubt this'll get anyone on here too excited, but pan-African female collective Les Amazones d'Afrique - who were booked for 2020 - have UK dates on the Thurs and Sunday, so will clearly be playing. Added to the ever-expanding playlist.
  14. So this means our albums of the year so far are: Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There (51 pts) Frank Turner - FTHC (19) The Mysterines - Reeling (18) Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You (14) CMAT - If My Wife New I'd Be Dead (9) Placebo - Never Let Me Go (9) + 3 from Jan (@Hugh Jass II did you do Jan scores? I can't find them on a quick search)

😂 We need to petition Shangri La to make this happen.
  16. Results No agonising over the first of our top 5, joint 4th with 7 points is the 3rd album of indie pop from 23-year old British-Turkish singer-songwriter Nilüfer Yanya, it’s 'Painless'. Tied with Ms Yanya is South Floridian rap iconoclast Denzel Curry with something that sounds painful, ‘Melt My Eyez See Your Future’. As you might well say to a friend with weed, 'Never Let Me Go', which is Placebo’s 8th album, is joint 2nd with 9 points. Brian's bunch tie with the debut from delightfully droll Irish singer-songwriter Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson (yes, that's where it comes from), ‘If My Wife New I’d Be Dead’. First place this month is no mystery, leaving the opposition reeling, it's The Mysterines debut album 'Reeling'. They were a 'Strong Rumour' for Glastonbury 2020 (I think they'd told people they were playing), and there must be a fair chance we’ll see them this year.
  17. Fantastic! Her tracks are amazing. Not sure what her sets are like.
  18. 90 minutes to go... anything could happen!
  19. Likewise - on my musts list this year, even if there is a big queue (hoping they’ll expand it after last year’s success). Their Facebook page suggests they were due back in 2020 so seems likely for this year too.
  20. Ha! Roll up, roll up, young acts, tell us you’re playing Glastonbury and I can provide you with Spotify riches - nothing short of (checks notes) *pennies*!!
  21. Rina Sawayama https://www.sohohouse.com/house-notes/issue-006/music/the-must-see-female-acts-to-catch-this-year (h/t GlastoFestFeed on Twitter) Added to the playlist
  22. Nice. But are you ready for everyone to be shouting 'put your hands up!' at you all day long?
  23. 1. Binker & Moses - Feeding the Machine 2. Nia Archives - Forbidden Feelingz 3. Wallows - Tell Me That It's Over Also quite enjoyed Peach Pit, Aldous Harding and Mysterines, but doubt any of these are going to be vying for AOTY. Trust me to choose to do this thread the one month there's no clear stand out and we get votes for about 100 different albums! Also, you're supposed to be voting for 3 albums. I'm not going to be as hardline as @dentalplan about it, but if you only vote for one that's only going to count the same as a 3rd choice vote. Listen to more new music people!
