  1. Great beer, and one of the best that ever comes into those supermarket deals. But with hoppy stuff like that, you really want to drink it as fresh as possible rather than putting it away for almost 2 months.
  2. Finished adding the (updated) Shangri La lineup to the playlist - up to 4 tracks per act depending on stage/popularity, based on recent setlists/tracklists as far as possible. Some great stuff on there, I think it's the best lineup Shangers has ever had. Pigsx7, Folamour, Partiboi69, Beans, Brass Against, Bob Vylan, K.O.G. all firmly on my radar. Even after the disappointing loss of Columbia's Systema Solar from the lineup, who look a whole lot of fun. I've made a start on Croissant Neuf, and then on to the Common... Nice work. I select tracks for the big playlist based on their recent setlists (tracklists for DJs) for precisely the same reason, although only include a handful for each act (it's long enough as it is!)
  3. Thanks for the heads up. First series was tremendous. Although this seems to be an entirely separate story in an entirely different scenario, written by different writers - so odd for it to be ‘series 2’.
  4. Daytimers takeover, Fizzy Gillespie, Ghetto Kumbe, Pony Montana, Stephen Lewis & The Big Band of Fun, Summer Dean. Literally juust as I thought I'd finished adding them to the playlist!! Systema Solar from Columbia have disappeared, which is a real shame, they sounded great. Kae Tempest is now spoken word. Wargasm still on there I note. Anyone spot anything else?
  5. 1. Tomberlin 2. Wet Leg 3. Spiritualized Strong month, King Gizz, Jack White and Fontaines v good too.
  6. Great listen as always @GlastoCast and very well done @Gnomicide, you did eFests proud - making our obsession sound entirely reasonable. And thanks for the playlist and Thingy shout outs!
  7. It was there in 2019. It’s being replaced by the new Totem stage. I hope they keep the water theme though that seems unlikely.
  8. Also saw her there and agree she was great
  9. Correct - setlist.fm records her as having covered quite a few songs over the years, but never once any from her old band. She’s opted for a clean break!
  10. Interesting! Had a look for pics, it looks the same here: https://vortexhire.co.uk/portfolio-item/glastonbury-2014-glade-stage
  11. Agreed. Worm Disco Club, who run it, are on the Shangri La poster, so could be moving there? Or could just be them doing a slot somewhere. Moving a popular venue from the Park to the already packed Shangers would seem a bit nuts.
  12. Gutted about the Glade change. It seemed perfect, a really magical spot.
  13. I appreciate your appreciation! Do you mean you get alerts, or that you just noticed new acts coming up on shuffle or whatever?
  14. This is what I've always done, had no idea about the circle/star thing.
  15. Sunlight is really important for circadian rhythms, and obviously festival time is when days are at their longest. Try to avoid sunlight early in the day (or at least wear shades), and get as much of it as you can later on. Exercising later in the day also helps shift your bodyclock to be alert later. For an immediate fix, in the absence of illegal substances, caffeine is pretty damn effective.
  16. Nailed on for Williams Green (or maybe early JP) I'd say
  17. The somewhat eclectic Left Field lineup added to the playlist (after Avalon, about 2/3 down), along with the other ETC finalists, who all have spots at the festival this year.
  18. Corrected, cheers. I blame Arcadia for leaving the dots out on the poster! Added to the playlist are the various recent small self-confirmations, and the ETC winner Lewis McLaughlin, who sounds great.
  19. Matt Owens (ex-Noah & the Whale bassist) with his excellently named backing band, the Delusional Vanity Project:
  20. I’ll be delighted if this is true. All those Noel fans already in position would make getting a good spot for Macca tricky
  21. typo there, try @CaledonianGonzo
  22. I’d messaged Lekiddo and he told me that if I added him to the playlist, there was a “strong possibility” he’d be playing - of course I did, and now he is!
  23. Fat Whites aren’t Killdren, who are the subject of this thread, are they??
  24. Arcadia acts now added to the playlist (up to 3 tracks based on recent tracklists). Also the latest self-confirmations, and updated Macca - his most often played tracks from recent years are perhaps a little odd, and I thought about changing them for his most often played of all time, but I figured no-one really needs reminding of Let It Be, Hey Jude etc. Even if that does mean the playlist now features the aberration that is Ob-La-Di, Ob-La Da.
