  1. Massive thanks to everyone who’s contributed to this thread, I’m really really chuffed to see all the messages saying that people have managed to hook a volunteering place. And best of all, from a purely selfish perspective, so have i 😎
  2. This is shaping up to be a mash up of ‘Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday’ and ‘Glastonbury Fayre’…
  3. I've just found the recycling crew website, where it says: " If you wish to join the Recycling Team, then you will need a personal recommendation from a previous recycling volunteer. They will need to contact the Recycling Crew office directly and provide them with your contact details. Even with a recommendation, places are extremely limited. " So not much chance there then, by the looks of it. Still, if you don't ask you don't get. Got to be in it to win it. etc etc etc...
  4. ... so I have just deleted my old original registration because it hasn't brought me any luck recently. And I've re-registered with a new photo in the hope that it will gain the approval of the ticket/lottery/glastonbury gods and help me get a ticket in the resale. Time will tell...
  5. Right - no luck in the ticket sales, so time to follow up the leads on this thread. Thx to all who put anything up here.
  6. Take heart - there’s still every chance that people will sell their tickets closer to the date. This year you could pick up tickets at reduced prices from the fanticks website right up until the start of GM. 🤞🤞🤞
  7. Number and type of tickets is all you need - there’s a screenshot of the ticket Page that shows you what it looks like. Should be findable on the GM website.
  8. @adequate8 you might not like my guess but adding a downvote with no further explanation isn’t very nice. GM is growing in popularity and sold out V quickly last year. But good luck in the sale anyway.
  9. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread - I’m going to work on getting a place with oxfam, starting now before the post-ticket-sale-failure rush!
  10. I guess in 14 minutes 42 seconds.
  11. Two standing tickets for Chemical Brothers at Alexandra Head in Cardiff on Saturday 9th September - can't make it owing to wedding - face value £45 each so £90 for the pair. DM me if you're interested. Thanks.
  12. Thanks all for the insights and ideas - I like the idea of Water Aid, the loo crew seems like an… interesting?… option but not sure I could stand the stench. Or am I putting the worst possible interpretation on things?
  13. As tickets seem to be getting more difficult to get hold of I'm thinking of the volunteering route for next year. Do people think it would help to register interest with the various groups this early on, or would I be better waiting until after the summer holidays season?
  14. Several sellers have tickets for sale on fanticks at the moment... got to be quick though!
  15. Normally they only come out once you get a programme on entry to the festival. So, the first efester in through the gate usually posts photos of the stage times and days... It's a bit frustrating, but worth the wait!
  16. I’m starting to get this feeling myself, still think I’ve a couple more years left in me though. Ticket gods willing, obvs…
  17. 100% this - pay up front to be in with a chance in the page access lottery. After all, we all have a year to save up for it. Either that or ChatGPT4 gets conscripted to get tickets…
  18. And The Snake Pit - which I seem to remember you got to via the DFGG bar. Both utterly storming micro venues!
  19. Happy to wait for @Brave Sir Robin to perform his annual act of selfless labour - the BSR playlist is an essential part of the build up to every Glastonbury Festival as far as I'm concerned. So THANK YOU! in advance BSR.
  20. Well, with Shangri-La calling out for new ideas/creators/artists/etc maybe they'll bring it back...
  21. Being an Old Git I am wary of frightening people with my Lycra-clad bod, so I concentrate on festival-specific training. Long walks including hills, carrying a day sack seems to work reasonably well for me and it keeps my heart rate in the fat-burning zone. I try to restrict other training - drinking and dancing like a loon - to inside the house…
  22. Definitely felt this. Also, didn’t get tickets for next year which kept me off here. But now I’m chasing down possible volunteering options so this forum has gained a new relevance. Fingers crossed…
  23. Chuffed to see you got a ticket - can’t help thinking the Hat must have something to do with it!
  24. Recommend ingesting magic mushrooms and watching the trippy effects on the Green Man landing page.
