Strangely, they played some corporate event the other night, full band. One-off. Not entirely sure why, perhaps the money was too good to turn down?!
I would even settle for Lindsay on his own at Glasto on one of the smaller stages, he plays half of the FM back catalogue !

Florence's version was absolutely horrible. Horrible.
FM are a band that are very hard to cover - Buckingham's finger picking style for a start - hard to replicate.
I am a HUGE FM fan, they're probably my favourite ever band, I got to see them 3 times at the end of last year on the Greatest Hits Tour and they are my favourite gigs of all time. They put on close to 3 hour shows with no break.
I would have a heart attack if they played Glastonbury at any point. I think it would go down superbly.

i'm slightly biased as i'm a huge Fleetwood Mac fan - but this is one song that shouldn't really be touched - mainly because the guitar parts are reasonably complex and Stevie and Lindsey's voices are so unique.
I reserved judgement until I saw the footage - and yep, she ruined it.
Nice idea, poorly executed.

I agree with a lot of the stuff posted here, I'm finding it harder to get into a lot of supposedly excellent new bands. I know it's horses for courses, but some of the bands doing the festivals this year are boringly average. Of the last year, it might only be Them Crooked Vultures which have excited me (and they've got decades of experience of individually being in some of the biggest bands on the planet !).
Band Of Skulls were excellent when I went to see them a few weeks ago - they're one to look out for.
Am hoping to discover a few new names during the weekend.

I love the fact you're all discounting Led Zep because of Plant's previous. How do any of you know what discussions are/aren't taking place?!
They already reformed for one massive gig - I don't see why it's unreasonable to think they may be tempted by another.
From what I have read about Plant - he's not interested in a reformation in a touring sense - but the O2 gig at least showed he was willing to get back on stage with them.
Personally, it's the only act that would make up for U2 for me, but I'm sure ME is working hard to get a suitable replacement regardless.

I just don't get the whole Dizzee Rascal thing. He's had 3 or 4 hits (one of them with Calvin Harris) and his "act" involves p*ss-poor rapping over well manufactured beats.
Did you hear him on Jonathon Ross? He asked him what was next up his sleeve. Dizzee's reply? "Whatever sells, man". Good one.
Regardless of whether you like him or not, he simply isn't a Glastonbury 40th Anniversary Headliner ! Plain and simple.
But whatever floats your boat - I won't be there watching him.

My experience coming back has been roughly the same. Basically there was a big queue for each destination and you got put ona bus when you got to the front.
Back then you basically turned up when you liked i.e. you wouldn't have to hang around until 3pm.
They may have changed this in the last couple of years though so best check from others who have done it more recently. I wouldn't worry - they will get you home.

good advice - i'm on the 8am, but wondered whether it would be on an allocated bus or a free for all.
Even though National Express give you a specific seat - I assmumed it would be a case of just putting people on any available bus.
Only thing is, what if that's the case coming back and you don't manage to get on the last couple of buses?!
I'm on the second-to-last one on the Monday - 15:00.

i'd actually quite like to see them at Glastonbury !
Got some cheap tickets for the O2 a few months ago and they were actually very good.
Although JBJ is pretty cringeworthy. At one point he shouted "someone call a Doctor......" just before they launched into Bad Medicine.
