  1. If it is the Glade, my advice is go through the tree house bar and down the right hand side near the Glade stage bar if you get there late and its busy, found decent space down there for Example last year even when it was gridlock at the crossroads.
  2. She'll be amazing. We've booked tickets for Manchester and will probably see her twice that week if we get resale tickets as the Other set can't be that long if she's that far down.
  3. Excellent, I haven't tried those yet. I'm guessing they're similar to the old mixed fruit ones? I've seen the Pear 7% ones, which I love at the festival so will need to try those too. Not in great quantities though, I remember going through a lot of those in the years following my first Glastonbury...
  4. That's amazing, glad you're getting the recognition as it's a brilliant undertaking
  5. Shows how different tastes can be...that's the only time I've ever wanted to do all 3 Headliners plus the legend slot!
  6. to be fair Bloc Party last played as Other headliner in 2009, its been a fair while so daytime Other isn't taking up something too prominent for the first time in 15 years. I'd say there's less "landfill" (which I like) than a lot of previous years. No Vaccines, Kaiser Chiefs etc so far.
  7. Ah nice one, there's a big Tesco the next town over so will head there at the weekend!
  8. My local Morrisons doesn't have any competition cans yet - where are people getting them from? Any other supermarkets stock Brothers?
  9. I was desperately hoping the poster would have this effect on me, but as I like Glastonbury to be about stuff I wouldn't pay to see elsewhere sprinkled with a bit of stuff I would, then its pretty much ticked those boxes. Never seen Dua Lipa, Shania, Avril, Cyndi Lauper or Camila Cabello and would like to see all of them. Love Coldplay, Keane, Paul Heaton, Paloma Faith, Confidence Man, Alvvays. Still haven't see the Last Dinner Party or Soccer Mommy, nor LCD Soundsystem. Would check out Bloc Party as its been years, probably give The National another go as nothing else on the Sunday. I'm actually gutted its so good for me in case I can't go!!
  10. There's just no need for them to be like that about Coldplay. Such a basic reaction, one I'm seeing from people in my circles too. I've just had a "there needs to be someone more legendary at the top"...from someone who came once in 2009 and didn't see any of the Pyramid headliners...
  11. Alvvays are amazing, really good live too. We've got tickets for Manchester the Sunday before and will keep those even if successful in the resale. One of the only bands where I like every one of their songs so need a full gig!
  12. I'm the opposite, loved the previous two and they'll be top of my list if I get tickets!
  13. It's funny how I found out the poster was out this morning. I went into the bathroom for a shower, put the radio on and thought "there's only one reason Greg James would be playing Shania Twain on Radio 1 at 8.05am", knew there would be a poster waiting on social media!
  14. is "Impressed" a deliberate pun? I've seen that song quoted loads of times already today in response to the lineup!
  15. Unless its true that they're carrying on into 2025, so may have already signed in for that
  16. With the seeming change in people who got tickets vs who normally does, that Coldplay show will be an incredible experience and Glastonbury moment that cements a lot of new attendees into coming back, because they haven't seen them there before. They're only a bad booking for those who have been loads like you said, and it sounds like there are a lot less of those people this year
  17. I'm hoping it means casual fans put the tickets back in, that's all I really care about at this point. Loads of smaller stuff that I like, would happily watch Coldplay, Dua Lipa and Shania. Can see how it'd underwhelm but also could see how it'd be big for younger people. I don't think it'll be any less sought after so my guess is those of us without tickets will probably remain that way. They always needed to do a demographic shift and now is the time
  18. Yeah I love that I can watch sets from Glastonbury, Reading, Big Weekend, TRNSMT, even Belladrum last year. Not only did the two Scottish ones have highlight shows, they had the full band sets available on iPlayer of a lot of much smaller acts that I like but haven't had chance to see live. There are plenty of acts I've seen live songs or sets from on iplayer that I've then listened to further and bought tickets for or watched at a future festival when i otherwise wouldn't have. I also like a lot of the piano room sessions etc. There are obviously political debates and issues, but purely around what I've mentioned above it's doing great for me on the music front.
  19. If you like them at all (and I understand that sort of band will not be popular on here due to how basic they are), check out their album from last year Never Going Under. I really liked it
  20. Dolores Forever are a good addition for me. I will have a listen to the others
  21. Same, I've given this one a miss and glad I have. You'd get those, minus my perfect day, in a festival set.

    2024 Headliners

I know a few, and am one myself. I think it depends who you surround yourself with, serious music fans probably wouldn't like them, or at least admit to liking them. I also think the people who sell out their shows have seen them before over the years

    2024 Headliners

Yeah it'd definitely feel like a "give next year's headliners a call" type situation if she ends up doing it. You'd assume she'll move into big outdoor shows next year, even if its just Hyde Park, so it'd have made sense to pencil her in for 2025 to coincide with that.
  24. I saw them at Kendal 2018 too and it was terrible. Think they were annoyed about being below Catfish and The Bottlemen after headlining twice in the previous few years. the 2012 Kendal headline set was amazing though
