  1. I'm with you there. One of my favourite bands and it's been too long - last time was Victoria Warehouse in Manchester in September 2018 Having to give up my Brudenell tickets next week- going to Leeds just isn't realistic between Leeds Fest for a day, APE and Neighbourhood Weekender so I'm glad to have seen them this year as it was the only chance Definitely getting Manchester tickets for spring though!
  2. I'm so excited about this Friday. Wolf Alice, Liam Gallagher and Biffy, plus clashes permitting Baby Queen and Holly Humberstone, and just being back in the BIG festival atmosphere. Going to be an amazing day and a big hangover on Saturday...
  3. Am I right in counting just 4 bars in the arena? Are there normally more? Hoping one of those sells Export 😂
  4. How did everyone else find last night? I had a great time - love The Cribs and was great to see them for the first time in 3 years, solid set from them Really enjoyed Supergrass - wasn't entirely sure what to expect live but thought they were amazing. Absolute bargain for £20 (shout out to @Homer for the link!). The sound quality was top notch, and plenty of room to move around too. Also thought the setup was quite good - plenty of toilets and bars, at least the cans were cold and 440ml for the price though obviously would've preferred pints.
  5. Do you need to print tickets (see tickets) or are they scanning off phones nowadays?
  6. Rhythm of the 90s sounds so good - still not managed to catch it anywhere yet
  7. Aaaah OK is that the same for wolf alice and gerry? Would make sense north vs South
  8. Aren't they in the same position? I'm interpreting it as yungblud and gerry cinnamon subbing?
  9. All looks good to me for the Monday. Clashes are taken care of by other festivals- Magic Gang are taken care of by seeing them at Blossoms in September so can see Jade Bird, Holly Humberstone I'm seeing at Leeds on the Friday so can see Working Men's Club. Shame about caribou but always was going for the top 2 anyway
  10. Think that looks like the best plan for me - staying central. The walk to the station through the park from the bowl looks a bit ropey for night time but I assume everyone else will be doing the same?
  11. What's the best tube/rail station to get into? And I'm completely unfamiliar with the area - is it reasonably safe, even after the gig?
  12. Went to 110 Above this weekend, managed to complete the whole weekend this time which is progress! Seriously though, amazing little festival, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Had the sort of weekend I've been waiting for for two years! Onwards to Supergrass, Leeds Fest day, APE day and Neighbourhood Weekender in the next 3 weeks. Making the most of it!
  13. Clearly not a "hometown heroes" sort of band then... O2 arena vs Liverpool uni
  14. They have some good songs- a good addition. We'll definitely be getting down early for this one!
  15. Had an amazing time also! Agree about Sundara. I saw so many bands, but highlights were Sports Team, Pixey, Vistas, Zuzu, Black Honey, Paris Youth Foundation, Amazons, Baby Queen, Abbie Ozard and Only Sun. And was surprised (in a good way!) by Black Honey, Corella, The Snuts and Eliza and the Bear. Overall though I just love being there - such a unique setup, friendly atmosphere and varied venues to watch the bands. Great food and drink too - ate loads from the Palate Box and the pizza place. That new Elizabeth Stage is great, all they were missing before was a proper fully outdoor stage. Could've done with one more bar for the busy times, but apart from that it's almost perfect for me.
  16. I am unable to help simply because I have a full team for my own resale, but that sounds brilliant if she goes! After reading all his books it'll be interesting to see what she thinks...maybe she could write a book herself!
  17. Incredible. That's made an already good day even better
  18. Helping keep people comfortable and reducing the chance of bad PR from a covid outbreak I imagine, less people inside a tent
  19. Well if I get tickets then it makes the Biffy for Queens swap at Leeds even better for me as I'd get to see them anyway
  20. Fair to say I don't think I'll be able to go abroad again - they'd be crazy to bring air travel back widespread only to have to take it away again very soon. They've got a window of opportunity where a lot of people wouldn't even consider it for covid reasons, so why not build on that and phase it out further? My biggest worry is just pushing people into poverty and being unable to afford food or heat their homes, while the rich are fine. Not much different to before really, just with more on the poor side...
  21. She's brilliant- saw her at a couple of small festivals in 2019 and she's released some even better music since. Holly Humberstone is also good
  22. Bodes well for me for Supergrass and The Cribs then, especially the Brewdog selection! Wonder how busy it'll be for that gig...
