I didn't know about that. Then again, I haven't got my ear to the ground on all things Glastonbury.

Would've thought if there was a negative response it'd have ended up linked on here, I meant did it slip under the radar of those who love to criticise Glastonbury in the press

My view is the festival dont like bad press (even though any bad press wouldnt be warranted obviously) so have nipped it in the bud.

hugely disappointing. Makes you wonder why anyone would be a creative when seemingly you can be cancelled over nothing

Its such a strange one because they did a whole fundraiser for Palestine, so must've got some bad press from pro-Israel people? Or did it just slip under the radar?

No dice on my chocolate delivery. Hate to be moaner but does anyone find it extremely salty! If I get anymore I’ll try the almond one.

Won a cooler bag on the brothers cans, my stomach flipped when I saw Congratulations 😂🙈 Might try a couple more over the weekend 🤞🍀

I don't like either flavour. If it was a plainer flavour, or one I liked at least, I'd end up eating them all though!

3rd sale in a row where I didn't need a ticket and I managed to get some for others. I was done and dusted by 18:02 tonight. Hoping my karma points are full for the next time I'm in need

Go on, what's your setup...same each time?

Four groups out of eleven in the main resale spreadsheet got tickets today for coach sale, looks like decent odds for main resale on sunday

Whoa that's really good! Is that 4 groups of 2 or 4?

I've only seen the group on this thread, which I am sadly part of.  There were loads last year weren't there?  4 or 5 - I was helping for one but got nowhere.

Hoping fewer groups this time means there is less people trying in the resale and it ups our chances, but I am still nervous as!!

That's why I asked actually, I feel like there's much less excitement/nervousness/general activity around it but that could just be wishful thinking.

I feel like I’ve been enough to experience the things I’ve wanted to experience and part of me does think a years break would do no harm as it only makes you appreciate it more once you return. I haven’t even watched it on the telly when I’ve not been, it’s more the thing of being there with my mates and having a nice time. There’s other factors that make Glastonbury meaningful for me but I suppose they’re not that different to the things that make it mean something to anyone who has an affinity with the place. It’s the ticket sales that get to me, as outlined by others, going through the build up and frustration…just let it be done!

I thought the same but I like the lineup more than most other years I've been, so much strength in depth for what I like. Now I'm desperate to get there!

    Jaded...

    the perfect sentiment.

Of course I want to go but the whole ticket getting process just has me wanting it to be over and done this weekend, so I can move on...

I had a great run from 2007 to 2019, that I always thought was down to my organisation and preparedness.. But (assuming the worst this weekend) missing 2 out of 3 will definitely have me moving closer to a "cant be arsed" attitude..

I'm the same on wanting it to be over and done. I'm about 95% certain its not happening in the resale, its just so popular. I'll have to go on a full ignore and unfollow of everything Glastonbury related from Sunday most likely!

Away from the allegations/disreputable behaviour etc. the ticket prices for AF are ridiculous.  Anyone paying that needs to give their head a wobble.

I paid it for Noel Gallagher at the Royal Albert Hall. Turned out to be one of my favourite ever gigs so glad I did! (had pretty much the best possible seats)

How did you find Aviva Studios as a venue? Not done a gig there yet, only done the comedy but that was in the theatre bit not the hall.

Impressive. Think of it as a posh warehouse! Cavernous (really high ceiling) but still managing to feel intimate (think it's a 5000 cap.). Two smallish bars on either side towards the back. One minor issue is I think the only toilets are back downstairs, which could be a pain. Might need someone to validate that. Really friendly staff. Can't give you a definitive rating on the sound because I was right on the barrier but I've seen from others it was decent. Getting out took a little while, only two smallish exits were open post-gig. Convenient location not far from Deansgate/Spinningfields areas, loads of bars, etc. I got there early so getting in was simple but I did also hear the queue to get in was long a little later on. All-in-all though, I liked it

Agree with all of that. To add to the sound bit, I saw DMA's there, and for me I've always found they struggle with sound a bit at bigger venues. I was reasonably near the front and the sounds was perfect, so crisp and clear.

Absolutely loved the venue. Also, if you drink pints then use those machines at the back if they're still there, the drinks were good (cider anyway) and the queue goes so quick

My only complaint is that more hasn't been announced for there!

To think, this time next week, it will all be over for another festival.

I just want to know now. We're going to go on holiday that weekend if we can't get tickets, to escape it all, then do Reading in August.

OCS is an acoustic set. Always good, but not as good as the main set

Not sure why that's not doing the Tweet preview but it says "As if the summer wasn't exciting enough, we are beyond delighted to say we will be bringing our acoustic set to Glastonbury this year! See us headline The Acoustic Stage on Saturday 29th June "

I've still got cheese left from earlier this year. On the plus side, it keeps well (some is in the freezer, others, bb 15 Feb, is still going strong in sandwiches etc). It's off to co-op we go, hi ho, hi ho, hi ho, hi ho.
Not tried it, but I suspect I'll have to at some point: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/cider-cheese-fondue/

I think I'd skip straight to it, that sounds amazing!! I would certainly not use the Brothers for it though...
