The organisers could be waiting for SXSW to finish before making further announcements. Would love to see a few more up and coming Scottish bands such as the Snuts, Vistas and Lucia make an appearance with bands such as the Amazons, Sundara Karma Anteros and the excellent Sam Fender being added

Catfish have said on their website that they are playing the Thursday. Hoping for the Manics and or Stereophonics along with Amazons and the Struts, other acts lower down the card I am hoping for are Temperence Movement, Snuts and Hamsandwich ( they were awesome a few years ago), and hopefully some of last years Scottish breakthroughs like Catholic Action and Baby Strange.,but at the moment I'm happy with what's been announced. Not a fan of LG but having seen him last year and listened to his album, he will def be a crowd pleaser.

At his stage its till a little too early to be even thnking about Clashfinder. I know its not usually far wrong but I I still think there is another headliner to be announced, of the Subies I think Foals will Sub RHCP, Los Planetos sub Kasabian, Deamou5 after Weekend and Crystal Fighters, Stormzy & LoL all headlining 2nd Stage.
but with acts Like Blossoms Courteeeners Pete Docherty Kaleo, Liam Gallacher and Twin Peaks im more than happy so far. total of 12 Bands I defo want to see subject to the usual clashes.

Stereophonics may be a cheaper and more realistic ask than the Roses, but do they appeal to an older audience? Personally I'd love Phonics but I don't represent the average Benicassim go-er.
Definition of Older?... our group of 10 range from 22 to 60 (I'm 51) and hell yes the 'phonics appeal to at least 8 of us in the 33 to 60 bracket:-)

Surprised to see Foals on the Mad Cool line-up, really rare that Spanish festivals share acts of high caliber, especially with Mad Cool so close to FIB now.
Maybe that opens up a few options for Benni from both BBK & Mad Cool

"Why is Liam Gallagher a strong rumour? Would it not be more likely to book Richard Ashcroft as he's also touring "
more likely to be Noel Gallacher. He's in Italy with U2 at the start of FIB, and then Barca on Tues after. so from Tour managers point of view might be worth squeezing in a date in between, covers the costs of traveling & hotels etc.

Maybe the return of the Bacardi Tent.

Im Glad its taking a year out but more likely to be killed off. Over the last few years the Ned culture has caused more problems than it should and I suspect that is more to do with killing it off due adding to the requirement of "planning permission" .
As for the new event in Glasgow, forget acts like Harris and FBS... they have already stated that its to be aimed at a much older audience..for that read those that don't need to get stoned out their Nut to enjoy music. I suspect its going to be Green Day, Depeche Mode and maybe Radiohead. 3 stages.. Main stage , a Tuts type tent and T-break. also think that there will be large number of Scottish bands , esp those making "comebacks" such as Gun, Fratelis & Hipsway.
Now that they have officially announced T isn't going ahead I expect the first announcements very soon...in the hope to get some of the pre Christmas sales.

Only Going with what Spotify are saying with 220k Spanish listeners per month, personally not my cup of tea, but I get the feeling that they are, trying to encourage more locals to attend. but could be wrong. At the end of the day he's Thursday headliner and most folk are just settling in, but I agree poor headliner!

Agree that from a UK perspective that Major Lazer is a poor headliner, but he is massive in Spain, esp Madrid (according to Spotify) so not a huge surprise he is headlining. I am also hopping that with the extension of South Beach means that hopefully there will be more Bands on the 2 main stages after the headliners. Having Bastille on after Portishead this year(2015) was great. Jake Bugg, Johnny Marr, or Miles Kane on after Stereophonics or Mumford & Sons for example would brilliant, with maybe Garbage, Vaccines or Catfish & the Bottlemen on before them. I also hope that Kula Shaker, and or OCS make an appearance. For me the remaining headliners are more likely to be
Stone Roses, Mumford & Sons & Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Not sure if its aleady been mentioned but does anybody else feel that with DF announcing the Glasgow Summer Sessions that this could be the begining of the end for T. Given that the fact P&K council are not renewing the Licence, (in its current format) after 2015. I feel that as the Summer Sessions have been given a Location in the name then it could be expanded to Edinburgh Summer Sessions (replacing The Edge) and that maybe Kinross Summer Sessions would also become a venue and spreadding all the events over those 3 locations over the 3 days abit like V and L & R. After all Eminem is the type of "big" name some people(not me) would have been looking for at T20.

Still a long time to go and with UK not being in the Euroland now and still with Cov19 kicking about there will still be a lot of logisitcs to sort out, so I'm not too concerned about line up at the moment.
IMO out of the UK names announced only Kasabian could headline the main stage but given the change in there line up and no new material I suspect they could be Sub headliner. For the Spanish Justice will headline main stage. TDCC might headline 2nd Stage but rest are not headline material.
that said for €55 (€14 a night) Id be jumping for joy if i could see Kasabian, Kooks, TDCC, Snuts, Hunna locally for that price :-)
