Not sure about the reasons for the move but but the venue I’ve been given doesn’t have the best public transport links.
Pray tell...or at least roughly whereabouts it is?
Victoria Park worked a treat in terms of location, layout of the site and access. Sefton Park was a ballache after Kings of Leon and that didn't even sell out.

New Order playing in Manchester on the Saturday with Johnny Marr and Roisin Murphy - could be Sunday headliner a la 2019?
-
I reckon the missing act could well be the "legend' at Glastonbury. Rumours of Stevie Nicks or Shania Twain would both slot in quite nicely here I think, especially with a couple of decent supports.
-
Yeah rumours of lack of headliners, five year lease on Victoria Park etc. With no early birds sold, makes me think they knew 2024 wasn't going to happen regardless.
Unless Radio 1 big weekend is coming for 2024?!
-
Any news on Neighbourhood Weekender coming back for 2024? Seemed the Manchester City Centre version fell by the wayside this year, hope this doesn't too as had many a decent weekend here!
-
Now moved again, next May 29-30th 2021. Looks like most acts have signed for next year, except Fontaines DC who have been replaced by Easy Life. Shame that but fingers crossed this goes ahead as a cracking festival to start the summer.
-
Does anyone have any news on the likelihood of this going ahead? With BST biting the dust, I fear this might also be cancelled/postponed. Just got our LG tickets in the post too!
-
Last year, Big Weekend had 9 acts on each stage so still plenty more to be added to all days including (I hope) a decent act above Sam Smith in Swansea!
-
Is there any likelihood of the rumoured second Manchester date being added?
-
I managed to get tickets for the Saturday of this, looking forward to it on the promise of "their best line up yet". Anyone heard any rumours yet? It seems to sit conveniently for Arctic Monkeys to kick off their tour?

Not long now!
Well my headliners were hopeless but I make it 6 right, if you'll accept Basement Jaxx as a DJ set!

Dua Lipa is playing Panorama Festival in New York same weekend. Doesn't rule it out but makes it unlikely?

First timer to Kendal and was just wondering if any of the bars / tents will have any cheesy, Motown, Britpop or indie music playing? Something like Hip Shaker for anyone that's been to IOW festival thanks J
The Calling Out stage has an Indie Disco til 3am which is class. Baggy Mondays on Saturday too. The House Party tent has more of a mix of hip hop, cheese and dance and also on til 3am. The Jagerhaus has guest Djs and is a bit more eclectic but sounds great after a few shots...you'll have a great time!

What are the chances of getting cheap Mumford tickets? I'm guessing they are selling quite well so far?
-
New festival coming to Manchester on Sat 8th October taking place in various intimate venues across the city.
Really exciting first release of bands - Circa Waves, Twin Atlantic, Vant and more.
Really looking forward to this!!
-
Found them....Quantum Flux. Really hope they play again this year....
-
The group that played in the House Party tent on the Saturday afternoon last year? Was a duo, a live drummer and DJ?
Thanks in advance!
-
Elbow at Jodrell Bank was one of my top 5 gigs of all time, despite the torrential rain. Very excited for this....
-
Does anyone know if there will be a Calling 2016? Really enjoyed this last year, helped by the dirt cheap tickets obviously!
-
Still 2 more Calling Out headliners, another dozen main stage acts, plenty of surprises to be had. I think it's fair to say the bands announced so far will shift a lot of tickets, but there are still some big names out there to be added.
Circa Waves at Y Not, Kodaline at a festival in UK same weekend?
-
Guesses unfortunately, probably won't have any right. Does seem to appeal for all markets and meet budgets. Realised I missed off EE and would have loved New Order there...
-
Here goes my guess (includes leaked announcements but I've gone for stages and days too):
Thursday Main:
Charlatans, Cast, Reverend & the Makers.
Friday Main:
Madness, The Coral, Tinie Tempah, Years & Years, Katy B, Marmozets, Rhodes.
Saturday Main:
Noel Gallagher HFB, Catfish and Bottlemen, Kula Shaker, Blossoms, Band of Skulls, Jess Glynne
Sunday Main:
Rudimental, Editors, Kodaline, John Newman, Rival Sons, Annemarie, Lancashire Hotpots
Calling Out stage:
Friday - Nathaniel Rateliff, Spector
Saturday - Jack Garratt, Bipolar Sunshine
Sunday - Guy Garvey, King Blues
Glow tent - Leftfield, Craig David, David Rodigan, Annie Mac, Wilkinson, DJ Yoda..
Time will tell!! Bold are my 20.

First time poster here so be gentle...but I'm sure Radio X just announced Charlatans, Band of skulls, Everything Everything? Might have to listen again in case I imagined it...first 10 mins of the show if you can listen again?

Wythenshawe Park makes sense given they've started to put gigs on. Blossoms this summer is 30k I believe, not sure if they could do 40k over three stages.
Living about 3 miles away though, I'd be delighted with that.
The other place is Ashley - they've got a Brit Fest gig in 2024?
