  1. Not a great questionnaire to be honest.

Also, your sampling frame is kind of weak. The board generally gets more experienced festival goers and and wouldn't necessarily reflect the attendance demographics of Parklife really.

Question 8 is a leading question.

    Question 3 is irrelevant.

Question 14 is weird. What about moments of safety at different times?

Question 12: Welfare facilities? Only a small minority would've needed them.

Question 10: Wouldn't congestion be a matter of what time and who was on? And where one was stood? Again it's not a fair question because this could be answered by 100 people whose only experience of the main stage was stood at the back having an ice cream whilst Soul II Soul were on and whose only experience of the Big Top was down the front for Bastille.

  2. Cena is facing Joe apparently.

I couldn't think of anything worse than Roman Reigns retiring Taker. They have tried everything with this man, literally nothing has worked, he does not deserve that accolade. And they need to do the Cena v Undertaker match at some point anyway before he retires. They should also try and do Jericho v Undertaker. Both would be more than capable of doing all the work, unlike Reigns who I just don't think is good enough.

  3. Undertaker can't move and Reigns can't have a good match unless it's with someone who can carry him. Reigns has terrible promos which are badly written and poorly delivered. So, I really don't see anything in this feud with Taker apart from yet another failed attempt at getting him over.

  4. 22 hours ago, Nicklord said:

I saw them on their 2010 tour twice and the set was literally the same. Everything was the same from start to finish. Liam from Prodigy also says that they play and mix live but you can pretty much hear that last 7-8 years it's not the case.

I don't have a problem with the prodigy playing live, they have a band with them after all- although obviously a lot of it is pre recorded synths. As opposed to these 'superstar DJ's' who mime pushing buttons on a laptop.

My problem with the Prodigy, as I've said, is the two idiots shouting repeatedly over what is actually some pretty good music.

  5. Not that it's relevant to Sziget but The Chemical Brothers do mix live, the reason the show doesn't change all the time is because of the visual show that goes with it. They have a full rig of various bits and bobs which they are constantly tinkering with.

This is unlike the 'DJ's' like Guetta and Harris who have a laptop and a pre recorded playlist.

There's a big difference between being a live dance act like The Chems and a 'superstar DJ' who has a laptop and some crappy lasers bought from Amazon.

    This article here explains it

  6. I never am with the Sziget lineup to be fair. I know I go every year and generally love it (i just can't get enough of Dreher and I know loads and loads of people who go) but they place far far too much emphasis on 'atmosphere' and this 'Island of Freedom' nonsense to try and disguise the fact that the quality of lineup has declined markedly in recent years, (although to be fair it has improved since the 2013 disaster.) Last year when we had two crap DJ's, a pop act who didn't have enough material to play for an hour let alone a full headline set, a guy no one from northern Europe had ever heard of, a pop diva who mimed and stropped and phoned performance in, (although at least we got The Chemical Brothers and Muse) just leads me to believe it'll be more disappointment these days.

Last year The world music stage was moved to where the metal stage used to be, which meant the lovely little natural ampitheatre it was outside the festival now, and it just seemed quite a bit smaller. Used to get 5 acts of the mainstage as well, now you only get 4, and people will still go about how booking Prince and announcing him with three weeks notice almost bankrupted them as if that still matters when they are booking Rihanna.

  7. Well you know yourself that what often happens is bands go and do the US and Canada late July-August and then come back to Europe.

Weds announcement should be interesting. I'm pretty sure it's all booked anyway, but there was a lot of negative reaction on Facebook and Twitter from what I saw.

Saying that, totally expect it to be The Subways, Skunk Anansie, Beatsteaks, Ska-P, Boys Noize and the all the other shite we see year in year out. Probably a special return for Mika as well.

  8. The problem is with The Prodigy, as i've said on variations of this thread for years now, they'd be a very good band if it wasn't for the two idiots shouting over all the great music Liam Howlett makes.

I'm sure we'll get The Prodigy this week- who will headline, The XX who will sub, and Mumford will be announced later.
