  1. For me personally it's a strong lineup, which has made missing out on tickets even worse. I'm not that fussed about getting 'rarities' when it comes to Glastonbury. I'd be more than happy spending all weekend watching acts I love playing my favourite festival, regardless of how many times I've seen them. And this year has quite a few.

    Site Map 2023

Think it was https://visualskies.nira.app/a/tEql55D5SbuwIE8Rt-biJA/1 As soon as word got out the site crashed under pressure and was locked shortly after. Such a shame. A few people saying how spacious it is, which I guess it is compared to the central sites, but like Gnomicide says, these all have guy ropes around them and not much room for other tents to go in. I'm guessing people don't bother with them in the busier sites?

Did anyone take any high res screenshots of the 3d site map that was released last year? Was incredible detail and could really get a feel for how busy camping areas were. I took some of Bushy as that's where we camp, but not much else. Unfortunately the website is locked now.

Edit: never mind, can't get link to work. Slowdive are great live, basically.
  5. Had a look through the replies and think that anyone who put 'Artic Monkeys' or is looking forward to seeing Billie Eilish play should be instantly disqualified!
  6. Eh? The app competition ended last week didn't it?

Typical that Slowdive finally play the year I didn't get a ticket. Gutted. Loads of stuff here alone that I would be happy with - Warpaint, Editors, Shame, Murder Capital, Working Mens Club, Big Moon just to name a few.

No Williams Green tent, and further decimated camping for coach arrivals. 2 major downgrades imo 👎
  9. This was a great Williams Green lineup imo. Mainly Indie/alt acts that are bigger than BBC introducing, but would probably only make it to the JP/Park stage if they were on early
  10. Williams Green has increasingly become the main place for up and coming indie acts, bigger than Introducing but not able to fill the JP. Especially since JP has increasingly moved towards pop. Hopefully it hasn't been axed - they should be developing it if anything. For example Latitude always seem to have an undercard full of the sort of acts Glasto could be booking. And there are loads of smaller UK indie day-festivals around the country that have been thriving for a while now. But Glasto's main stages tend to stick to the obvious 6 music acts or the older acts that have been doing the circuit for a while. Which is why Williams Green is important to keep. Plus it's just a generally good field to be in day and night

    Volunteering 2023

Ticketless for the first time this year, so never really even thought about the volunteering options before. Definitely something I will be keeping in mind for future years

A spot came up and I hesitated because I suddenly realised I didn't really know what I was signing up for. I.e. what does a typical shift of stewarding involve? At the same time I'd like to get out of my comfort zone and try something different.
  13. Williams Green always a good area for a sit, and the cider bus has benches opposite
  14. Did people settle on a number for the Vodafone headliner references game? 8 or 9? Not entered it yet and don't want to waste my previous entry.
  15. Also, went to visit my folks last night and my mum had popped into oxfam and bought the remaining stock! Again, no luck.
  16. I've just put my old sim back in permanently now, and I am still logged into the My Vodafone app. Got access to the competition for the first time today but no luck.
  17. Surprised we haven't seen the likes of Neck Oil or Camden Pale yet. They seem to be on everywhere these days. Sure, there's better beer out there, but it would be a big step up from the current selection. Bingley Weekender had Neck Oil on last year
  18. I just bought mine from the local Londis, or whatever chain it has been taken over by lately
  19. May have nipped to the shop before work
  20. Nice. Did you have to do anything in particular to get access? I.e. complain to customer services?

Maybe they should look at doing something to prevent people not even going to the festival trying to buy tickets? That might involve having to log-in to your 'glastonbury account' to access the sale and perhaps even having to link your account to those in your group of 6 before you can buy tickets for them.
  22. Vodafone's 5g coverage seems to be a bit patchy and their customer service reviews are pretty poor, so not sure I'm ready to commit to a 12 month sim with them. A 1 month sim is £25 which seems a bit much, but if I bought this today, I wonder if I could claim the rewards straight away...
  23. Currently looking for a new sim deal as Three have decided to start ripping me off. May need to have a quick browse at Vodafone's offerings

Oh well, my first taste of Glasto defeat. Gutted, but it's been a good run. Congrats to those who got tickets! With regard to the sale, it's brutal how quick it now is. I'd prefer if they drew it out a bit longer and reward perseverance a bit more, or at least give us a bit more hope for longer! But I'm not a fan of how its becoming increasingly easier, and almost essential, to get random people to try for your tickets. I joined a resale group this time (which was very well organised) and imagine I will have to do this for every sale going forward. Maybe they should attempt to come up with a way of ensuring that only the people in their own groups of 4/6 can try for their own tickets?
