  1. Just remembered Stella from Warpaint was on keys for Courtney Barnett last year. Glasto regular.
  2. Right then, off for an amble to get some food, then heading to online Woodsies for Warpaint
  3. Chvrches crowd noticeably busier now. No doubt due to Foos finish / Fred Again build up. Glad they get to finish their set to a big crowd
  4. Had a big lol at that moment 😄. Love this band
  5. Only a casual foos fan so this set would have been ideal. Was a fan of Josh during his time with NIN. Looks to be a good fit. Would have missed it all waiting for Chvrches to come on anyway
  6. Got the beers in the fridge, takeaway TBC, and will be watching Chvrches, Warpaint and Arctic Monkeys tonight, as I would have been at the festival. Will probably just put the standard TV coverage on in between.

    I feel sick

Focusing on competitions / oxfam places helped me feel that I'd at least tried everything to get there, though watching those BBC documentaries on Sunday night didn't help. Still planning to follow along on here and watch the BBC coverage. See how that goes...
  8. There's that Glastonbury spirit. Deliberately trying to mislead people with the wrong answer is pretty poor, considering the whole point of this thread is to help each other get to the festival.
  9. I arrived at 1.30ish by coach last year and had to queue for a bit in the snaking section. Somewhere between 30mins and an hour.
  10. Definitely 2009. The 'rave' section at the end gives it away.
  11. If this is true, I would have been at Woodsies most of the day. WMC, Murder Capital, Shame, Pulp is a great run. I'd have been in there quite a bit on Sunday too - great lineup from Woodsies this year.
  12. Sold my Finsbury tickets as managed to get tickets for Manchester, and avoiding the double London trip as already heading down for M83. Really looking forward to it now - not seen them since the Park set
  13. Not sure what the evening temps were last year but it was very cold as as soon as the sun went down. Definitely needed a jacket. Interested if anyone has the actual numbers, for reference
  14. Well that's probably that then. No luck on the Oxfam front either. Will cancel my leave on monday 😢
  15. Can remember sitting by the Glastonbury sign on the Fri lunchtime and seeing NME confirm that Radiohead were playing that evening, and being pretty sure Pulp were playing the Sat. Radiohead ended up being a bit meh, not helped by the weather, and Pulp was one of my highlights of the festival, aided by the glorious weather finally arriving.
  16. Ah that's brilliant - glad one of the regulars on this thread managed to win!
  17. Oh i didn't bother this morning as I thought it would be another head to head battle. This is the format I thought yesterday's was going to be.
  18. I felt for her. She's a veteran and lost to a complete newbie. Tbh that first ever headliner Q would have had me stuck without google.
  19. I thought in the T&Cs posted earlier it said you had to text in an answer and they'd call the winner? Calling in to make a desperate plea followed by a head to head battle live on air is my idea of a nightmare - not even Glastonbury is worth that!
  20. Hmm maybe they've made an error and they're only meant to be available to people who haven't paid yet. I'd hate to think this is our last chance at getting a secret resale ticket and they've messed it up.
  21. Zoe Ball giving away 2 tickets on Weds morning apparently.
  22. Ah ok - that's very good of them, and more proof that tweeting Vodafone could pay off in the long run! You've also reminded me that I forgot to claim my free bag of Haribo 😢
  23. Congrats! Was this on the app competition? I've been waiting for Lana tickets to pop up on there, but its Bruce Springsteen for me today
  24. Alvvays ❤️ And another thumbs up for New Century
  25. Torturing myself by filling in a clashfinder that I'll never use and it would have worked out pretty well. Would have had to miss Blondie, Alt-J and The Churnups, but not the worst outcome. Wouldn't have been spending much time at the Pyramid, which tbh I wouldn't mind as I found the atmosphere a bit disappointing for most of the undercard acts I saw there last year. Woodsies has delivered and looks to have absorbed a bit of the Williams Green indie absence, particularly on the sat. 3 of my highlights in Chvrches, Lana and QOTSA on the Other.
