  1. Also @dentalplan whether intentional or you’ve just forgotten about her (understandable), Lorde seems like a dead cert with her tour dates.
  2. Unquestionably. If Sam Fender ends up third down on Other than I imagine they’d need some massive pop star type on the Pyramid to stop his crowd growing to insane levels.
  3. Nah, although Olivia is the bigger act at the moment, she only has one (very short, at that) album out and I don’t see them giving her a sub slot just yet. Fourth down seems just right for her at this point imo.
  4. Yeah I just don’t see that happening. I like her and can see the reasoning for putting her pre-Kendrick, but think she’d fall completely flat in a Pyramid sub slot, and just don’t think they’d have any reason to book her in such a prestigious slot at this point.
  5. Liverpool. First time going to Future Yard but my friend has been raving about it since it opened and is a regular attendee so decided to go to this with him on a whim. Really liked it, great little space and vibe and discovered an awesome new band so a night well spent!
  6. I was at that too and couldn’t agree more. Hadn't really heard much of their stuff beforehand but that performance blew me away. Been checking out all their stuff all morning and will be going to see them again the next time they’re touring local.

    Foals

Nice. Not quite as good as QOTSA considering Foals are seemingly everywhere all of the time, but a decent alternative to Billie. I like Simz, but Foals are the front runner for the Friday night for me so far. Also RIP any ‘they could still headline’ talk. Unless….
  8. Think he’ll be at Wireless if anywhere tbh. Much like last time, he only seems to be headlining the festivals he’s playing at and not taking lower down slots (that I’ve noticed, anyway).
  9. I’d stick him third down Pyramid rather than subbing myself, but suppose the argument could be made that he’s big enough to sub, especially if there have been drop outs - I’d just personally find him an underwhelming sub. Hopefully on before Eilish if that’s the case.

    Foals

We got reason to believe adequate8 is in the know then? Pyramid sub again? Or could they have even stepped in to QOTSAs seemingly vacant slot?
  11. I forgot he did it at Glastonbury. Think that was a one and done kind of thing (and rightfully so by the sounds of it).
  12. In that he actually plays it?
  13. Yeah was gonna say. Looking at that setlist, most of those Oasis songs are a fucking snooze fest. Liam has the bangers.
  14. Nah Noel does just as many Oasis songs - about half his set usually, especially at festivals: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds/2019/valdebebas-ifema-madrid-spain-139e91cd.html edit: well not half I suppose… but still a fair chunk
  15. Headliner in ‘23 I imagine. She’s gotten absolutely massive over there so can’t imagine they’d have her do a secret set as it’d be mental if word got out. If this years lineup was booked under regular circumstances and wasn’t largely a carry over from ‘20/‘21 I imagine she would’ve been headlining this year.
  16. QOTSA are almost definitely out - pulled out of at least one festival already and the drummer is confirmed to be touring with Bright Eyes in the states over Glastonbury. And yeah, Noel is subbing the Pyramid, regardless of who’s on after him (but I’m still going with Macca).
  17. Tbh apart from West Holts they could probably slot comfortably in to any of the main stages - low Pyramid, mid-Other, high JP or Park headliner.
  18. Pretty sure Harry only played one One Direction song on his last tour (and rightfully so because it’s an absolute belter) and as much as some might hate to admit it, he’s far outgrown being ‘that guy from One Direction’. He’s massive worldwide and, even if they’re not the greatest things ever, his two albums have been huge hits and shown a desire to move to a more mature sound (and there’s plenty of bangers there, too). I don’t think he’s gonna be headlining, but if the festival was in a quandary with headliners backing out then maybe they’d need to look to somebody like him instead.

    Kanye West

I’m stoked for it but apparently it doesn’t cover 808s/MBDTF/Yeezus for some reason which is a bummer to hear as that’s obviously the most interesting time creatively for him.
  20. 1. Deathcrash 2. Pinegrove 3. The Weeknd
  21. Can’t remember if we already knew she was likely or not, but Courtney Barnett is in the U.K. around Glastonbury time:
  22. (Not that I’m at all complaining. This episode was awesome. Give me all the goddamn fan service you’ve got).
  23. I’m sure Dua Lipa is the main one she had in mind and that conversations have already been had about her returning to headline in the next couple of years.
  24. Well yeah, and I’m sure the final episode will tie the stories together nicely, but it’s still quite jarring/funny that the main character of this series has been written to be so boring that they felt the need to abandon him entirely for two out of seven episodes and go back to the character(s) they nailed last time.
