  1. Although I do think he’s gonna take the fourth down Pyramid slot, I wonder if Paolo could even take Liam Gallagher’s kind-of-not-so-secret set from a couple of years ago and play mid/high Other. Does he have new material due or is he just playing some live shows this summer? If it’s the latter I think him being slightly lowballed is fair enough as he’ll just be playing the same shit as last time (not that that matters to most people, but he has been away fr a while so not unreasonable to think he’s happy to just take the slots he’s given).
  2. Much like every year, all comes down to whether they’ve got their new album and/or tour ready, but I imagine they’ll be incredibly likely the moment that happens.
  3. We’ve already had word that Haim are on directly before Noel, so Paolo on before that is the only way that’s gonna pan out.
  4. Yeah sorry to burst @Matt42s Phoebe Bridgers bubble but Paolo fourth down pre-Haim makes a ton of sense if he’s booked.
  5. Obviously some people will stay for Elbow, but that Sam Fender crowd is gonna be absolutely rammed to the max and a proper ‘where you there?’ moment of the festival considering how big he’s gotten over the past couple of years. If you’re planning on going Diana to him I think it’d be wise of position yourself somewhere with a swift exit path to the Other field.
  6. Yeah if that’s how it pans out it’ll be a mass exodus from the Pyramid straight to Other after Diana I reckon. Imagine he’ll get the biggest crowd the Other sees all weekend easily.

    Kanye West

Whilst the reasoning for having him removed is pretty valid this time, I’d be pretty pissed off as a Coachella attendee if he was removed. I don’t think he will be pulled, but I’m sure he’ll do and/or say something stupid on the night that will make the promoters kinda wish they had.
  8. Sure hope (and I really do think it will be) Lorde subbing Kendrick rather than Elbow, ‘cause I ain’t watching fucking Elbow but would quite like to be right up front for Kendrick (not that it’ll be too hard to get a spot there anyway, I imagine…) Lorde in for Lana makes heaps of sense, and Elbow were seemingly third last time on Kendrick day, so I think they’ve just done a switcheroo on that top 3.
  9. So one of Doja or Wolf Alice subbing Billie and the other third down then?
  10. Goddamnit, Elbow are gonna stink up that lovely Pyramid run, aren’t they?!
  11. Nah, but they’ll almost certainly (I hope, anyway…) be there next year.
  12. I’ve been flip flopping over whether her or Lorde will sub and the other third, although Lorde third and Doja subbing would make more sense in the ‘keeping the hype up for Kendrick’ factor so I hope that’s how it pans out. I’m only a recent convert to her stuff and she’s become a big ‘must see’ for me so I really hope she doesn’t end up headlining Other, even though I think her in for Dua/up against Macca actually makes a lot of sense.
  13. Yeah it’s on his tour dates on his website.
  14. Think her tour selling out instantly has made a lot of people think she’s probably a bit too big for the Park now and will be midday on a bigger stage, yeah.
  15. Nice one! Anybody got any prices? Preferably for the Manchester date?
  16. So fucking stoked. All over that Manchester date. Anybody got info of any presales going on?
  17. Yessss! Glad I didn’t get those Eden tickets now. All over that Manchester date.
  18. £6.50 will be the average price for a pint at your every day bar I reckon. Really can’t imagine them breaking the £7 mark just yet, although that’ll probably come next year.
  19. According to setlist.fm they haven’t played together since 2015 so things might’ve changed, but judging by the setlists him and Alison Krauss have done in the past… they ain’t gonna be third down. It isn’t gonna be a bunch of Led Zep songs to win the crowd over like last time he played. Fourth, or even fifth down, or even acoustic seems the perfect fit for what he’s doing these days.
  20. Yeah it’s a shame it’s just a basic ‘looks like every other crap festival’ wasteland, and I suppose it doesn’t help that a good chunk of the acts booked for it and the surrounding burger stalls etc all fall in to that bracket too. It’s fine, but certainly feels less magic than all of the other big stages.
  21. Somebody had info that they’re not there this year.
  22. I had Primal Scream down for the Sunday JP what with the lack of any real guitar act that night, although tbh JP is wide open this year and there are tons of acts on the poster who could end up headlining it.
  23. Based on info or an educated guess? Would strengthen the Megan or Doja headlining prediction imo - a nice little 1 - 2 there for people who want to stick around.
  24. It’s a problem because you essentially call everybody else an idiot for saying it can’t be Burna Boy when literally the only reason you’re saying it’s Burna Boy is because that would resolve a huge clash for you. I’m really not too familiar with Burna Boy, but him subbing Megan on Other makes far more sense than the other way round if you really think he’s too big for the John Peel now.
