It was, it was impossible to deter everyone who tried to get over, so much dodgy characters about, not enough security and poor infrastructure back then. We wandered around outside one year near the travellers field, our crew camp was near the old WBC crew camp over near Gate C. When walking around, we seen a gap in the fence and some dodgy scouser charging £20 each to get in, it was only when we showed him our security wristband and crew band, did he let us in without charging us! 🤣

Yes it's not a new role, been around for years. They coordinate the wristbanders, stewards, security etc and report in to Event Control regarding flow rates, ingress figures, infrastructure issues etc

It will hopefully be working as a Gate Manager directly for the festival. Years of experience in the industry and contacts within the festival circuit, have gave us someone who works directly for Festival Republic who we know from other events.

You do realise it's outwith DHP's control yeah? No one is going to miss out, it's not extra tickets, just a spread of the capacity to alleviate the traffic due to that stupid bridge! They would rather you either didn't go on the Wednesday and come as usual on the Thursday or come Wednesday and stay. Coming twice defeats the purpose of the whole thing!

One plus point for Lebara is it also uses your allowance while here in India..
