  1. So I would not rule out Blink 182 for taking a headline spot on Sunday.
  2. Most of the bands could do it, but Travis Barker travells by boat to Europe…
  3. Neil Young?? haha Just kidding. Maybe Eminem?
  4. If Travis do not catch flights, Blink 182 are out of this 100%. Not a big loss for me, but I find strange that Pukkelpop did not book them. Perfect band for their target audience.
  5. Ed Sheeran has annouced that his only Spanish 2024 date will be in Tenerife (June 28th), so you can rule him out. Source: https://diariodeavisos.elespanol.com/2023/10/ed-sheeran-tenerife/
  6. Green Day will never play again Mad Cool.
  7. If RW have decided not booking The National, that means that they had all their headline slots covered when The National decided to tour.
  8. Finally, my wife and me sold our tickets in the exchage service and decided to organize a travel with our little daughter who had some medical issues last summer, and we thought that she deserved it, so instead of going to Pukkelpop we are going to Legoland in Germany... hehehe. I hope that 2024 will be our 10th Pukkelpop after going every year from 2009 to 2017. We are looking forward to it. I hope that all you you will have a great festival experience and I will wait for all of you in the 2024 thread.
  9. Can you send the link to the exchange service? How can people know that your ticket is avaliable? As long as I know the exchage service is just for changing ticket names.
  10. Same happened un 2013 when Eminem fans ruined NIN show…
  11. Pukkelpop is not like a Harry Styles show. No line before the grounds open and no people running at 11am to camp in the front barrier of the Main Stage waiting 12 hours until the headliner plays.
  12. I went just on Saturday and I really hated the site of the festival. Getting in is fast once you are in the front door but we had to walk 15 minutes from were the taxi left us. Going out by metro is OK, but 25 minutes walking to reach the station. The worst issue for me were the toilets. So dangerous the bottleneck to get in. Why not placing toilets in several locations? also, I think the site was overcrowded last night. It was not easy moving in the site. Moving to stage 1 to number 2, was crazy. I really felt uncomfortable. Also RHCP setlist was a joke. Villaverde location is worse than Valdebebas and Caja Mágica. Nowadays Mad Cool sells tons of tickets due to their line-ups and they don't care about retaining their customers. Next Year they will bring Foo Fighters and a couple more of massive bands, and tickets will be sold like hot cakes. I don't understand how foreing people can come to Mad Cool, having much better festival experience options all over Europe. Pretty sure that this will be last Mad Cool. They can go to hell.
  13. I am going just on saturday, but my friends yesterday had no problems taking the shuttle bus to Atocha after the festival.
  14. After a deep analysis of the line-up we have decided to buy combitickets for PKP'23. I hope that this year won't happen anything strage in August. Really looking forward to go back to Hasselt. My daughter birth in july 2018, plus de pandemic and a last minute health problem last year... So we didn't make it since 2017. Lot of nice bands in the Backyard catalogue, plus some interesting "modern" rock bands as Turnstile, The Amazons, Osees or Brutus, some nostalgic acts as The Killers, Dropkick Murphys or Limp Bizkit and lot of cool bands that we have discovered as Royel Otis, High Vis, Kennyhoopla, Ascendant Vierge or Zulu, make an interesenting mix that you cannont find at any festival in Europe. Now it's time to wait for the last names and for the schedule. See you all in Hasselt in 6 weeks!!!
  15. Main Stage does not clash with Marquee and Backyard. Obviously Marquee and Backyard clash.
  16. There is an interesting debate in Festileaks thread today. It's hard to believe that a festival with a young audience target cannot sell out day tickets with Billie Eilish headlining. Also it happened with Imagine Dragons, Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar... etc. Pukkelpop used to sell out with Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, Eminem... headlining. One day they decided to stop booking huge acts and look for new headliners mixed with medium size headliners as Editors or The XX. After that, everytime they have decided to book a big headliner (Rihanna, Billie...) they couldn't even sell out day tickets. I cannot find a logical theory of what happened to Pukkelpop to step down in the last decade, but what is sure is that nowadays is a less attractive festival that it used to be 10 or 12 years ago? The 2011 storm? The financial problems after the storm? Stop booking huge bands as Metallica, Iron Maiden of Foo's? Making dissapear the shelter stage? Stop booking some medium size bands for older audience? I don't really know the answer, but Pukkelpop is part of my life and I wish the festival a huge success every year, but I don't really understand which direction do they want to take while festivals as Lokerse, Alcatraz, Brakrock, all in august in Belgium are getting bigger every year booking bands that Pukkelpop 12 years ago would't let them escape from their line-up.
  17. I think that somebody wrote here a few pages ago that Backyard stage is going to be changed by a Rock day at the Marquee (same as 2017 and 2018) and some rock days in smaller stages (Lift and Club I suppose). This could be part of the reason for the decrease of names.
  18. This festival is going to announce Limp Bizkit + some minor names.
  19. The National new single is called "New Order T-Shirt"
  20. Yusuf/Cat Stevens would be the best booking for a festival for me. Love his music since I was an 11 years old kid. What a legend. What a great booking for Glasto.
  21. Mad Cool has prepared a Saturday night with 90's big bands headlining. That's why I think that The Offspring fits perfectly that night.
