Overall there are a few bands I would see but I've seen all the headliners before and the undercard seems awful familiar too. Either I'm going to too many gigs or Reading is just getting too predictable. The only good booking for me would be NIN. Bands like Phoenix that I would also watch will probably be at Glasto so Reading is off the cards completely now.
-
They are all playing radio 1 stage.
-
In other news, Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy are UK festival exclusives apparently.
-
Like 2012, it's the unexpected, the bands I've never heard of that I'm most excited about hearing.
Last year was a great year for music, and so many of my favourite albums were from artists I'd not heard of a year ago.
I fucking love it when that happens

At TITP 2010, the gate went a little crazy before Eminem went on stage, They closed the front area and people were going mental, A security guard got hit by bottles and likes, really nasty scenes.
But apart from that it seemed to work.
It sounds to me like Glastonbury is like Leeds in terms of its barrier, which I thought worked much better than TITP. At least it doesn't have the annoying T barrier that Sonisphere had.

Some people have mentioned Nick Cave so just incase you haven't seen this yet...
-
Arcade Fire and Biffy Clyro are the only one's I'm actually looking forward to.
I'm sure there will be other ones that catch my attention as the months go by though. There were a lot I was looking forward to this time last year though
-
Incase anyone was wondering this was the last full setlist they played. Yes it was in America but still, that wouldn't get me very excited. Add in a possible new album and a few other songs and it could be a very big miss.
Brianstorm
This House Is a Circus
Still Take You Home
Library Pictures
Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair
The View From the Afternoon
I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor

Crying Lightning
That's Where You're Wrong
Fluorescent Adolescent

After seeing them twice before I am conflicted about wanting to see them again. The second time I saw them (humbug tour, in Glasgow) was among the worst gigs I have ever been to but the first time, a few years before, was amazing.
I reckon the only way I would watch them at Glastonbury would be if I could pick their setlist. Which isn't going to happen.
-
Eminem was absolutely terrible at t in the park the other year. Mumford would have been better. Actually pretty much anyone would be.
-
So T in the Park have Mumford and Sons, Rihanna and The Killers.
A headliner has been shared between the 2 since 05 so will it happen again?
Personally I hope not, but any of them could headline Glastonbury too really.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
I'm surprised it's not been mentioned here yet, unless I missed it in someone's big list of albums. But I think it's the best album ever. It's just perfect from start to finish imo.
And they play it perfectly live.
-
The group will play two nights in London’s Finsbury Park (June 7 and 8 ) and one show at Glasgow Green on June 15.
The supports for the Glasgow show are Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View.
Supports for London will be announced shortly.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 9.30am on Friday November 2.
-
I am surprised they haven't put tickets up early again.
The £99 deal was really popular last year and I thought they would have done something similar this year.
-
Worked first time for me too!
Neil, I think I'm a little bit in love
For people (with a pc) struggling, just right click on notepad and click run as adminastrator, then go to file, open then click to, System32/drivers/ect then open the hosts file. Put what efestivals said at the bottom of that. Click save and open your browser again. Go on see tickets and you should get there first time.

@lee_ftw
It's my first time trying to get Glastonbury tickets so hopefully it all goes well, but the Twitter help would be appreciated too!
-
I would go to rockness even if Blur were literally the only band playing.
-
To those arguing for Arcade Fire as headliners, I have to express my doubts.
Whilst far from perfect, a good way to judge the size of an act worldwide is check how many facebook fans they have. (Taking into account that contemporary acts will have more fans using facebook than older acts).
Arcade Fire have just over 1 million facebook fans.
Contrast that with, say, Arctic Monkeys, who have 3 million, and they aren't even big in the States, unlike Arcade Fire.
Major American indie/rock/alternative acts:
The Killers: 7.2million
Black Keys: 2.5 million
Kings of Leon a very depressing 10.8 million
my point being that despite being a contemporary American act, usually quite good for facebook 'likes' they still lag way behind even The Black Keys, who no one see's as a headliner.
-
Oh dear god.
I will be a blubbering wreck after No Distance then Tender.
But I've been waiting years to see Tender live. It's going to be like my gig going life complete
-
I'm trying to think of ones that haven't been mentioned already and I'm struggling...
Gaslight Anthem, Two Door Cinema Club, Mumford and Sons...
I just don't really see any bands on the horizon
-
I'm going to see Blur in Wolves on Monday. I hope they play charmless man there too!
Country House into Parklife has the potential to be the best thing I've ever seen...
gonny be my first time at hyde park next weekend
one question .... do i need wellies ?
-
I voted for Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers to Headline next year. I would buy a ticket if any of those got announced along with The Cure, Muse, TDCC, 30STM, Madness, Reverend and the Makers and Biffy Clyro.
-
Biffy are more popular than Paolo (in terms of live tickets anyway)
They have headlined Sonisphere and Rockness and by T comes round they will have another album under their belt.
Even if they weren't Scottish I would still say they would have a good chance of headlining. A lot of people think the could headline Reading next year if their new album is good/popular enough.
