If only that new event at Scone was put on by the organisers of All Points East. Scotland desperately needs something “alternative” like that.
-
Yeah, still strange though considering Liam Gallagher was announced for TRNSMT a few weeks ago and now IOW but The Killers (assuming they are playing) haven’t yet.
Anyway, they were great at The Hydro so depending on the support I would probably go.
-
The Killers have been announced for IOW and two of their own stadium gigs (Swansea and Bolton of all places).
If they are playing trnsmt, why on earth have they not been announced yet?!
-
That Mad Cool line up is very interesting.
I cant wait until Snow Patrol are announced to headline Trnsmt now

It’s baffling so far. I paid a deposit last year for a three day ticket and now it’s a five day festival, with two awful (for me) headliners announced and I still don’t know my options.
-
Radiohead to Stereophonics in the space of a year. That’s almost impressively bad!

We got a decent camping spot last night eventually and the DJ sets in the Hive Entertainment zone were great fun last night!
The queue to get into the festival itself though is a joke. We have been queuing for almost 30 minutes now. It's ridiculous

I'm in it as well, circled the festival and there's absolutely nowhere to go. Asked a security guy and he said "it is being opened. But I don't know when" which could be anywhere from five minutes to tomorrow.
absolute shambles, it would help if there weren't 1 gazebo for every four people.
I think one is opening now!!!

Anyone else on site at the moment? Me and a couple of mates have arrived after driving from Scotland and it's a nightmare.
It took us about 2 hours to get in due to security checks which had no queue management and was a mess.
now we are standing in The Hive Campsite with at least 1000 others who have no space to camp! It's an absolute shambles.
I've never been to any festival of any size where I've arrived the day before the festival and can't even set up my tent.

Good morning everyone!
Here's my now weekly post going, Fleet Foxes should probably be announced today.
Fleet Foxes or not it should be an interesting announcement later on!
-
Happpy Paddy's Day!
Cant wait for U2, Westlife and B*Witched to be announced this afternoon!
Seriously though, still hoping for Fleet Foxes and Biffy Clyro.
-
Today's announcement wasn't amazing for me but Above and Beyond was an unexpected surprise. Hopefully they don't clash with Linkin Park.
I really hope Arcade Fire are still in the "headliner" slot on the Thursday. Seeing them in the light would just be wrong.

Hi everyone!
I've been reading this thread for months and never bothered to comment but thought it's about time to get involved.
me and two mates have bought tickets and are driving over from Edinburgh for this and I can't wait.
The line up is great even after the relatively weak recent announcements.
Hoping for Fleet Foxes and Biffy Clyro (of course) to be announced today.
See you all in Belgium!

Arcade Fire are headlining Isle of Wight. Is that a potential shout for a headline slot (possibly Radio 1 stage)?
No.

For various reasons I can't make it this year. So I have a 3 day ticket going, does anyone want to buy it? Really don't want to use a resale site!
-
For me if those were the Friday headliners that would be among the worst clashes I've seen.
I would go see LCD because I haven't seen them before but missing Muse, Underworld, M83 and James Blake would hurt.
-
If Adele is playing, she's headlining the pyramid.
I don't think I personally would plan to go see her but a few ciders and suddenly Rolling in the Deep is an absolute barnstormer.
-
I couldn't risk this selling out so I've bought my ticket!
As it stands I'm going solo so if there's others on here doing the same then a efests meet should definitely be organised!
I'm almost too excited and it's only February.
-
Haven't posted on here in years but this line up, personally, is one of the best I've seen. I basically need to go but my usual group of mates can't go for various reasons.
anyone on here been to this by themselves? Any advise?

I have Virgin Media. My download speed this morning was 124.89mb/s. Didn't get anywhere.

I honesty can't believe that no one has mentioned Mumford and Sons. Nowhere near my favourite band but they are Excellent live.
I'll back a lot of people in this thread up by saying Dizzee, TDCC, Editors, enter shikari, vampire weekend and seasick steve are all great live.
Surprised again no one has mentioned Nas, of monsters and men, alabama shakes and the courteeners are all good live in very different ways.
The only bands playing that I would say are bad live are Arctic monkeys, but I haven't seen them in a few years.
And Chase and Status. Just didn't work for me.

Yeah, even at Leeds The Strokes were pretty terrible but Pulp closing the festival was simply wonderful.
-
I was having a think today (after My Chemical Romance split up) about Leeds 2011 and how all 3 headliners were amazing (imo) and I remember them not being viewed as a strong set of headliners on paper.
Has there been other years with all 3 headliners stepping up to the plate?
I know other years have had better individual headline performances but what about all 3?

To be honest I totally forgot who organised Rockness!
It’s a shame that Rockness has died as it was a cracking festival the times I went. Although if I remember right, I’m fairly sure the last line up was atrocious.
The transport options to Rockness weren’t the best and this is a major problem with Scottish festivitals in general (see T in the Park’s recent issues).
