  1. Would've been all over a Scottish date. Shame.

    young fathers

Get the lastest album on for starters. Only about 35 mins long and it's excellent. They'll play a lot of it live on this tour too. I got tickets for the Barras. Cannot wait.
  3. Given Primal Scream's current reputation, the ticket price, and the "half day", I can see them literally giving away Friday tickets closer to the time. I think it's been mentioned before but charging the same ticket price for that Friday and that Saturday is honestly baffling.
  4. Sky VIP have a competition for tickets going on just now as well. There was another (The List maybe?) that seems to have finished. Last year the Friday was extremely quiet but still a great day. Good layout for a festival so I'm sure you'll still have a great time!

    2024 Headliners

    I've never respected Michael more
  6. Seen the first few ticket competitions creep up for this. I have no insider info but I'm just assuming it isn't selling well. Would be really interested to find out!
  7. The lack of ticket sales for Connect, based in the second biggest city with great transport links, seems to suggest there isn't a big enough demand for "smaller" festivals in Scotland. It's a real shame but seems to be a reality.
  8. The Hives at The Barras is a perfect combination. Easter Monday too!
  9. I highly doubt any "big" acts will be added to this. A few to bulk out the line up when the stage splits get confirmed in a couple of months.
  10. I agree on both points but the most liked reply on Twitter to the line up is currently "Looking forward to the headliners being announced" I know Fred is popular right now but all the headliners this year are "smaller" than last year and last year didn't sell well. Hopefully I'm wrong and this is a success but I think it needed a couple of bigger names.
  11. boygenius looking nailed on. Interesting to see what the rest of that day will look like.
  12. This would be the dream. The Boardmasters poster has Liam Gallagher as a UK festival exclusive but Lorde doesn’t have that same categorisation
  13. No surprise he’s sold that out. With McFly as support that second date will sell out quickly as well. I’m starting to worry about Connect with another late announcement and the reduction of the Friday (although I can see why that’s happening) Wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t last past this year.
  14. Saw Florence and the Machine at the Hydro last week and it was very good. Better than the last couple of times seeing her. A few of the new album tracks were highlights. However, she was absolutely trumped by Carly Rae Jepsen last night at the Academy. What a joy. Going to Young Fathers in Edinburgh on Friday which should be amazing. Hopefully get closer to an hour but I’ll take less if it’s as good as previous posters have said.
  15. Hoping for an announcement soon, mainly for the sake of the festival. Announcing relatively late compared to other festivals and loads of Summer gigs/tours hurt Connect last year and would be a shame to see it not shift tickets again.
  16. I would be fine with Connect just becoming All Points East North and having a Field Day type line up on one of the days. Agree though that I have no idea if Aphex Twin would be big enough to headline or would shift any tickets up here.
  17. Noel Gallagher/Primal Scream/Happy Mondays just announced a Dublin gig the Sunday of this. The Strokes/Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced for APE on the Friday. So for Connect I wouldn't be surprised to see Primal Scream or Noel on the Friday. Dance act (Fred Again seems like a good shout) on the Saturday. The Strokes Sunday.
  18. Edinburgh council are honestly a joke. If they wanted a rugby match to finish at midnight with 60,000 punters they'd probably let it happen no bother. One interesting thing to note from that article though is the idea of 4 standalone concerts in addition to Connect with The Killers being one of them. Maybe the chances of one being Noel Gallagher and another being Florence and the Machine, are a bit higher with that info.
  19. Based on some of the information above, I wouldn't be surprised if Primal Scream are one of the headliners. Would be a poor booking imo but can see it happening.
  20. Manics could be in with a shout. They pop up on DF Festivals fairly regularly. In a slightly similar category I'd love to see Editors pop up on the lineup. Would be a great sub for this size festival.
  21. That's the week after Connect, but still very interesting if it's announced before Connect itself. Hopefully not too expensive...
  22. Where has this information come from? Would be very keen to see the Killers again as they were great in Falkirk earlier in the year.
  23. You need a better imagination!
  24. She played 2 nights at Edinburgh Summer Sessions a few years back so size wise this would be about the same. She hasn't quite sold out seating at the Hydro so similar to Chemical Brothers who headlined last year. Given how badly this sold last year, I think they could use a Florence sized act this time!
