  1. I haven’t been since 2013/14 so my memory of the crowds is a bit hazy but overall this year had more “busy” moments than I remember. Ignoring the Wed/Thursday scheduling and the Avalon mess (although leaving Diana after 1 song to wander along for McFly was a great choice on our groups part), the main problems for me were all around folk sitting down or having masses of stuff on the ground taking up space. This was really bad at the Pyramid (as usual) but was really noticeable at the Other and John Peel. Creating these crowd crusts and general difficulty moving around. The “sitters” were also generally rude when you tried to get round their practical campsite in the middle of a crowd. also, the pyramid front section needs a better system 100%. Even T in the Park had a better system 12 or so years ago!
  2. Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender.
  3. With all this Green Day chat, are we sure it won't be Weezer or FOB? In fact, are we sure MCR will be on the first plane back to the US after they wrap up in Germany this week? Not that I particularly want any of these, it's just wild at this stage.
  4. I wonder how many pages this will reach by gates opening. Amazing stuff.
  5. Yesterday was a rollercoaster but today has been utterly spectacular. Fontaines, Beck, The National and Mogwai all absolutely smashing it. What a day.
  6. How is the security looking today? Just as relaxed as yesterday? Need to bring in water (wine), as I can’t deal with a repeat of last night
  7. I take back what I said. The bar queues are killing the fun. I’ve never been anywhere that takes this long. Get me back to Rock Werchter. Also, another reason why Glastonbury cannot be touched
  8. The bar queues don’t matter as much when Les Savy Fav are smashing it
  9. Phoebe Bridgers and Sam Fender. Will try and catch the start of Phoebe and leave to get the full Sam Fender set but it will hurt. Also, absolutely no idea who my Friday headliner will be. Current shortlist of about 5
  10. If The Strokes and Charli are both out of weekend 1, after Massive Attack, they surely have to draft someone “big” in. You can’t sell a whole weekend on Pavement

    Kendrick Lamar

I saw Kendrick when he last played Glasgow so I thought it would be a bit soon to see him again at Glasto. I think I was wrong.
  12. There are standing tickets for Glasgow and Manchester available through o2 priority if that helps anyone
  13. Hydro Website has this listed too: TICKET INFO £55.15 - £75.00
  14. I think the frustration regarding the first weekend is valid. Especially going back to the first announcement and for people not staying much before or after the weekend. The first Thursday looks pretty weak now compared to other days and I’m still hoping for a big (ish) addition
  15. Just bought this from Next. I owe you a pint!

    RATM

Just realised this is the same date as Coldplay at Hampden. My wife is not best pleased that I’m choosing RATM without hesitation

    RATM

RATM playing Edinburgh is simply mind-blowing to me. Barely feels real. Regardless of price, I'll be trying for tickets tomorrow. I assume as it's promoted by Connect, it won't be too much more than the day tickets for that (£71.50)
  18. Arcade Fire are back in New York on May 7th for SNL so won’t be hanging about for a month. It’s possible they come back over but not likely
  19. Saw this in Costco recently. Anyone reckon it would hold up to the Glasto mud? https://www.costco.co.uk/Sports-Spas-Leisure/Camping/Camping-Equipment/XL-Steel-Folding-Wagon/p/2622069?utm_campaign=FY22P9W1f&utm_medium=email&utm_source=email&utm_content=Feat-13&utm_term=xl
  20. We drove from the UK in 2017 and paid on arrival. It was cash only! We had to go back to the nearest town and hunt for cash as the rest of the festival was cashless. It might have changed post-Covid but consider this a warning 😄 It took us a couple of hours to get out but we ended up parked pretty far down, away from the exit. Depends on when you arrive/leave really. Bit of luck required.
  21. I reckon they will bring a band or two into weekend one but not necessarily as big as Massive Attack. Phoenix or Interpol would be fine to bring over a bit early for me.
  22. Being realistic, I'm not sure who would've made it better (ignoring Swift). It's superb.
