I would love this too!! I think I read somewhere that they might have been offered it before but preferred the “infinite horrizon” of the Other Stage (or something vaguely like that.. don’t quote me on it). Imagine if they put on a bespoke show that was designed for the Pyramid field?  It would be legendary.

They have headlined the Pyramid. It was Ok, not legendary though. I remember it being loud.

At its best, it does, your Stormzys, your Orbitals in the 90s, your Skunk Anansies, your Jay-Zs, your Archaoses, your Radioheads 1997, even your Billie Eilishes.

Putting S's on the end of these acts has made me feel a bit sick in my mouthies. Like 2014 football pundit.

  3. The Levels is a banging stage! The whole of Silver Hayes seems to have massively improved from where it was a few years ago. There is some sound bleeds, but from how rough it was to where it is now is a massive turnaround.

Earliest has been within 2 weeks of T day. So maybe just before thanksgiving if they do drop an artist this month. If not then by Christmas.

Thanksgiving is about as relevant to the UK as St David's day is to America.

There's plenty  of acts could sell that number quicker

    Recent Past headliners who wouldn't

The Cure. The Killers. Florence. The Who. Billie Eilish. Metallica. Kasabian.  Arcade Fire. Radiohead....

GnR sells on every continent. They were the biggest band in the world at one point

  6. 3 in my group got in on a EPO. Cost them £60 each and a slab of cider. Spoke to a few people on different days who had come in different ways. Seemed to be easier than previous years

  7. This was my view for Sam Fender just by the sound desk. Years ago I was stood next to Emily Eavis and her husband at the Pyramid and they were having a conversation about how beautiful all the flags looked. And it did, as you look out into the field, problem is very very few people have that view as they are looking towards the stage not away from it. If you take a flag you are selfish whatever your justification.IMG20220624201930.thumb.jpg.959e39b496b2515aac6acd9c469a9153.jpg

  8. Sit in one of the private car parks with a few beers and a pocket full of cash. Don't take any bags or tents. Buy anything you need once in. You'll will soon be offered a way inside once you start talking to people. Can be costly but works, just keep your wrists covered on site as I know a few people who have been pulled out thinking nobody inside the fence are checking as the festival goes on.

Approximately how close is the camping to the car park? Also can you arrive later in the week and still get a decent spot??

Parking is right next to Ped Gate A (5 minute walk). Can get tricky on a wet year as down a narrow walkway which churns up quickly.

Camping is 10 minute walk from Ped Gate A. Always plenty of room.

I suppose I could possibly give that a try, but last time my Bristol friends did a festival, their car was packed full. Can't imagine them being able to fit anything else in.

I wonder if it's possible to just arrive at the coach gate and explain that I couldn't make it, and see if they have a ticket/wristband waiting for me there?

They definitely hold tickets of missed bus people, think it's the hospitality point at Gate A if I remember rightly. They go through alot of security checks and you have to provide proof of who you are (passport / driving licence) along with everything else. They really are thorough and it takes about a hour as a few people need to make sure the ticket is going to the real ticket holder.
