    2023 New Music

The new Hives album is superb. Worth the excessively long wait!

I genuinely worry about this (as a United fan) after seeing this happen at the Elton John gig there last year *shudders*

For an album that’s basically already been released for almost a decade (bar a few new songs). She really is a phenomenon, possibly to the likes that have never been seen.

I’m hoping The Lakes will make an appearance on one of the Anfield dates with it being the closest she’s likely ever going to ever play to ‘those Windermere peaks’.

Looking forward to her version of Wildest Dreams the most I think. Great song, that will be made even better when ‘cleaned up’. Looking forward to hearing Clean too!

Wish she’d add Maroon to the setlist - it’s easily my favourite song from Midnights. Think the ‘That’s a real f**king legacy’ interaction would be a great!

It’s reallllly good. Had it on repeat all day. Can see it making an appearance in my AOTY lists!

The new Art School Girlfriend album is very, very good. Going to give the Girl Ray one a listen now. Other than those two, slim pickings for me today.

If I’d have bought the £660 VIP tickets last week, I would be pretty pissed off if the person sat in the seats literally next/above/below had paid a third of the price!

Incredible demand - but she’s had 4 albums since her last tour, so a lot of new material, including a change in direction with folklore and evermore which has gained her a whole host of new fans. Throw in the fact it’s a 3 hour show with Paramore supporting too and lots of people are understandably very keen to attend. All dates have more or less sold out without a general sale. First it was album presale, then a ballot, then the waitlist from the ballot. Crazy to think how many tickets she could have shifted if she wanted to.

Definitely not playing 2024 - she's fully booked on her tour for all dates. There was a small chance a few weeks back that she may have been doing the Sunday, but she added an extra Dublin date to rule that out. The traffic on here is due to her UK tour dates being on sale, and the circus involved with trying to get tickets!

The whole 'Waitlist' tactic is really going to play into their hands when it comes to shifting these VIP tickets I think. People who had probably given up and conceded they won't be going will suddenly get the login email with hope, see there are tickets available, realise they are only VIP left, and panic buy in the excitement of the moment.

Yep pretty much sums it up - I’ve just reluctantly paid £630 for two ‘VIP tickets’ just so we have a way of being there. It was either that, or miss out. That being said, paying it monthly over a year is a godsend, so won’t feel the sting too much.

How much have those packages been do you know? Would have been happy to pay £300+ if it came with the front standing, as you know you’ll always get back in with a good view if you go the bar/toilet etc.

For Anfield at least … it’s the ‘Ready For It’ package that gives you GA standing (with early entry). Assume it’s the same for all venues.

"No GA Standing" left, but you can waltz in as many times as you want to buy the £305 VIP access tickets - which are just GA standing with bells on. I think I'm reluctantly going to have to buy these so I don't miss out, but I really don't want to given the way these have been charged. But don't want to cut off my nose to spite my face!

So there are no general standing tickets for sale for the Friday at Anfield before the tickets are even on sale!
  18. st dan

    Taylor swift

Yep - plus if you get in early and get a good spot - as it's just general standing with no golden circle or anything, you'd have to be stood there for 8 hours or so to keep your spot that you've paid triple the price for! What a con.

So they’re doing pitch standing (no golden circle or special access) for £302.25 each as a VIP package. That’s just GA with some prints, (and early access to be fair .. but still). Disgraceful

No luck .. got through the waiting room and into the queue and there were 7725 ahead of me (difficult to gauge if that was a lot on not without knowing availability). Throughout the queue there were messages popping up stating availability was low, and that VIP packages were best option (surprisingly) Got through after 25 mins and it then kicked me out after I had entered my code .. no idea why! Had to rejoin the queue and then nothing left when I got back in (other than the crazy VIP prices) Will try again at 1pm and 3pm but almost resigned to the fact I won’t be getting hold of any.

I have no optimism of getting tickets at all - but I'm in the queue at least as we speak. Did you say we have to leave it to auto queue rather than refresh? Scared of it kicking me out and back of the line with a refresh! It is moving .. but slowly.
  22. st dan

    Taylor swift

Thanks. Really good to know as I’d have wasted valuable time searching for them tomorrow. This info may have changed what type of tickets we want look for too - I won’t be joining early or queuing on the day, so if we’re standing then we’ll probably be right at the back. Considering a shift to seating now instead. Saying that, I’ll be happy with anything I can get my hands on!

    Taylor swift

Ohhh is there no golden circle standing for Anfield then? They were the ones I was aiming for (as unlikely as I may have been to actually get them!). Good to know not to go searching for them tomorrow then!

I think maybe the original communication from AEG was incorrect? Have they not essentially categorised all those who registered into: (a) those who have been provided a code, (b) those on the waiting list (c) other I don’t think it would make much sense having everybody who registered and not selected for a code just to be automatically added to a waitlist, as surely this will need some sort of priority and order too? The email received did make it seem like everybody would receive an email regardless, and that’s clearly not the case at all.

Part of me wants to hold out for the 3pm sale (Sat 15th) but surely that’s too risky? I’m going to have to try and start with the Thursday date and work my way down to give myself the maximum opportunity aren’t I. Wish I had the nerve to hold out though, as the weekdays really aren’t ideal with work/child commitments .. but who cares about those if it means I get tickets!!
