Enjoyed the Sam Fender album - do agree that it all starts to blur into one at parts. Don’t think a 16 track, 1 hour 4 min album is the wisest choice for his sound and style of music. Saying that there are some great songs in there. Not a bad follow up to a very strong debut in my eyes.

Speaking as a fellow United fan, I don’t think Ole has done anything special in terms of coaching to get us to 2nd last season, I think that’s down to individual qualities of certain players - mainly Bruno. Can’t deny that he has massively improved moral, and brought the feel and energy back to the ‘United way’, as well as bringing in some quality signings, but i do think he’s out of his depth coaching wise and don’t see us lifting any trophies under him - not even the second rate ones. His in game substitutions are horrific mostly, and I don’t see what style of play we are aiming for. And we saw last week there is no Plan B. Really does seem it’s a case of hoping one of the front 5 produce some moments of magic. I’d love nothing more than to be proved wrong and he leads us back to the glory days, but I just do see it.

I just wish they’d just ‘bend the truth’ and add the additional costs into the ticket prices. I’d rather pay £40 for a ticket with ‘zero’ fees than £35 with £5 additional fees - even though it’s essentially the same thing. Much like how VAT isn’t an issue when you can’t see it!

Surely there comes a point (in the not too distant future) that people just stop paying those crazy fees?

No Stokes for the T20 World Cup then - have to say I’m a little surprised by that as I was expecting him to make himself available for that. Will be huge loss for sure, that will impact our chances of winning the tournament, but hopefully he’s getting the rest he needs and deserves and we see him rejuvenated and ready for The Ashes series - and more importantly that he’s getting his head and body in a better place.

Demarai Gray could well end up being the best value signing of the summer couldn’t he? Always thought he was a good player at Leicester, quick and direct. Think Rafa and Everton will go very well under the radar this season, aiming for the solid rather than spectacular.

Just listened to Chvrches, Big Red Machine and Indigo De Souza one after another. Loved all of them and they’ll be definitely getting a lot of plays - I’d say it’s the best new release day of the year so far for me.

Yep, Adidas signed a 10 year deal with Man Utd starting in 2015 worth £750m. There were strong rumours that they had a significant part to play in Pogba’s return to the club, as he was also an Adidas ambassador.

Is there much point in hype around a new album release in the days of streaming though? I understand it in years gone by when people could pre order CDs weeks in advance etc, and hyping up certainly had its relevance then, but in modern way we consume music - does it really have a benefit? People will stream it and have a listen to see if they like it or not, and just move on if they don’t, with little to no impact to Kanye’s pocket.

Agree with most of them placings and doubt you’ll be too far off. With the exception of Southampton - I think they’ll do well just to stay up if I’m honest. Especially if JWP leaves too, as that will be the spine of their team taken away.

Really enjoyed Pressure Machine - think the title track was my favourite on first listen. Really not a fan of the spoken word at the start of every song though, although I know it’s a key component of the ‘vibe’ of the album. But I still don’t like it.

I see no reason why not - it actually makes a lot of sense in some circumstances, and it wouldn’t cause any real issues if it’s agreed with both keepers and the manager beforehand. Van Gaal showed it can also work on the big stage too when he swapped Cillessen for Krul in the QF of the 2014 World Cup. I was crying out for Ole to do it vs Villarreal in the Europa League final, knowing that De Gea has a terrible penalty saving record, whereas Henderson’s is pretty impressive. I’m sure if he’d have made that sub then Henderson would have saved at least one of the 11 penalties he may have faced, and we could well have lifted the trophy.
