  1. The weather is following the same pattern as last year - cold but dry-ish up to the beginning of April, then warm and sunny and drier still - through to the end of June???

  2. We decided this morning that the best approach would be to go straight for the coach tickets - an approach that paid dividends!

Those who have done coach tickets before, how is it? How much stuff can you realistically get away with taking? Do they tend to be quite well organised?

  3. So it looks like there's more than just me who will be doing the coach for the first time (any ticket was better than no ticket at all).

    What's it like?

Is there really no alcohol on the coach?

How much luggage can you get on?

How far from the coach parks to the camping?

Do the coaches only go to and from one place? (i.e. if you get the coach from Liverpool, is it straight there of will there be other pick-ups?

Can we have a sing song?

Same coach on the way home as the way there?

    All info greatly appreciated.

  4. I got some le Chameau wellies a few years ago. Expensive, but comfortable and they have a gusset on the side so you can loosen or tighten around the calf to suit. You can probaly squeeze a pair of Converse in your luggage, for use it its hot.

  5. Yeah, the coach park in closest to the camping fields up behind John Peel tent and I think they are the last to fill up. I'm sure we reached the Pyramid from the coach in about 15min or less, even with all our stuff. There were metal trackways between the coach park and the main areas.

  6. Last year, our coach driver had a relaxed attitude and simply passed the wad of tickets through the bus during the journey. Don't recall our details being checked. Will probably depend of the driver on the day. Suppose if there are no problems, who cares?

  7. Hi, I'm in the same boat as you. Coming from the North West (Cheshire) on Monday. Would be great to meet for a pint.

I'll be there from Monday on my own as a steward so just wondering if anyone else was in same boat. 24yr old male from west midlands, be up for grabbing a drink with some ransoms and checking out some of the early open mic stuff they do. Post here or send me a pm.

  8. I got accepted as an Oxfam Steward last month. Received the two confirmation e-mails and paid the fee, but not heard anything since. Have also booked on a training session on 13 May. I understand that there is a confirmation e-mail a few weeks before hand. Is this normal?

  9. Anyone else feel like that their life is taking a back seat now to managing to get Glastonbury tickets? haha.

Last night I had an offer of the cinema, but turned it down incase I missed a sneaky resale. After the queue page loading earlier todaty I'm too scared to go and make lunch incase I miss something. I will probably muster up the courage to go shortly, but will leave my bank card lying on my keyboard and take the blackberry with me incase I recieve an email. alerting me of something

I hope for my health and general life I get one soon. Anyone similar?

  10. Last year I heard that Glasto costs around £22 million to put on. Have no idea whether this is true, but one of the earlier posts has mentioned the same figure. When you add up the cost of doing everything individually, £195 is very good value for money and there is plenty more that you can't put a price on.

  11. I'm positive about the resales. Seems that the majority of tickets were bought by people making multiple purchases on behalf of others, something that may not have happened if it wasn't deposits only on offer. Consider that it is likely that there will be a greater proportion of failed transactions and people who weren't that bothered in the first place deciding not to go.

  12. I just can't see a true hippy having a decent computer and high speed broadband. Maybe that's why there's not so many at Glastonbury as there used to be.
