1. Fred Again 2. Loyle Carner 3. Max Richter Honorable mention for Maggie Rogers, Courteeners were good but the newer songs are so mediocre, St Jude stuff went down a treat
-
after seeing Loyle Carner do West Holts, I've no doubt in my mind he's got what it takes to headline it all one day. definitely not next year, although selling out Wembley was impressive, and whether or not he'll get to that level I'm not sure but it would be well deserved could see Dave next year with a new album Dua - Dave - Rihanna/Coldplay/legacy act then 2025 Taylor and Sam Fender locked in for me
-
not a terrible festival overall for me really, mostly worked and could go where I wanted with short queues etc - bad line up - people with babies towing their massive trailers through a Pyramid crowd flowing in the opposite direction - lack of a diverse nighttime offering, be good to have some proper big pop discos instead of doomf doomf? - loss of Williams Green stage into the car thing - people littering, absolute pig behaviour - feels like drug use is so frequent and open now? each to their own tbh just can barely turn around without seeing a key being passed around at like 5pm on the other stage
-
The Pyramid was empty, hardly much of an appetite
-
Unsurprising, what a stale set of other options. As if the programmers missed deadline and just picked up a copy of NME from 2011 and booked the first three acts they saw.
-
Aye. After they said oh this is our 10th ever gig and I spotted a couple of over excited but vaguely familiar people going nuts, the nepotism of it all quickly became apparent.
-
I'm not disputing this. Everyone there may have enjoyed it. But it's the emptiest I've seen a headliner so I'm merely mentioning that.
-
Just a fact mate, I was a bit shocked tbh. I'm enjoying the last few tunes now
-
I've just come from Loyle Carner and walked through the middle of the Pyramid with absolutely no issue. Camera must be doing them massive favours. you could play 5 a side in the gaps

Crocs in the day time, shoes in the evening. Living my best life

A few near me going "not really summer music is it" as he was playing a clip about anxiety etc. Definitely seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding amongst your more fair weather fan that it's gonna be dance bangers compared to what it actually is.
-
For me mid crowd it felt like it started off with a bang and moved nicely, then there was a four or five song run which just killed the energy. They're a waste of a headline slot these days.
-
It was stunning. Aside from the bellends talking through it all. Just wonderful.

Here's me on my way in now wondering where on earth I'm going to pitch my tent from the sounds of these posts 😬

I hope Busted are one of the Woodsies ones, be a riot
-
As long as that chip place inbetween Pyramid and Woodsies is there I'm good. £6 for a sh*t load of chips, topped with beans and a sprinkle of cheese. Filled me right up every day.

Would say it's more likely Marcus is doing the Park slot on his own, fits a bit better
-
They're touring in Sept. They definitely have the profile for a early evening secret set. Not too big but I'm sure they'd get a good crowd
-
Anyone think they could turn up on Park? Been a while, new album, no tour dates over that weekend, can't really play anywhere else at this point, but a secret set could work?
-
Aye. Line up is shite, most of our group has bailed and money is that much tighter this year. I'm pretty sure I'll be glad to be there once I am but agree that the feeling at the moment isn't what it has been.
-
Excited for this - wish they were on the farm but think they have AU dates. Still never toured their last album which was also great.

5am departure from the O2 Arena, wtffffffff I thought it was Victoria, which is really easy for me to get too. Nightbus mission at 3am incoming 😪
