  1. PM me your email address and they're yours
  2. Obviously didn't think it was "grid-worthy"
  3. I won two seated tickets for Elbow at the Motor point, Nottingham on Wednesday 15 May via the Labrokes Live website. If anyone would like them, they're yours for free. They're in my name and seemingly unable to be transferred but I'm told they don't ask for ID.
  4. I reckon 10-12K is around the usual resale number
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if this coincides with an impending Silver Hayes announcement
  6. Glad you had a good time. Can't wait. At some point, they should drop Slippy from the encore. Maybe even throw Slow Slippy in the set somewhere
  7. It's not the best, but it's still better than Excalibur and Flamingo. Just. Anyway, mine was just a guess. Just thought it looked more like the Luxor than the Glastonbury Pyramid
  8. Send me your details nearer the time and we'll do our best. I'm sure others on here could assist, too
  9. If you need assistance, everyone I know is sorted so I'm more than happy to help an E&D thread regular
  10. It could definitely be done and yes it would be rammo. Not sure if the usual Chroma visuals can transfer onto the "head" screen though. Seems quite limited what can be done on that. Which I like, btw. It's not supposed to be a light show tour de force, is it? Quite lo-fi. Although, I guess there's scope for decent projection mapping.
  11. Yeah, you're right. Probably nearer 75 mins each, but I'll take that rather than a generic DJ set essentially playing background noise as everyone wanders in. Looking at the setlist, it's fantastic. Would love to see Scribble, Moon in Water, Caliban's Dream added in there but I can't argue with any of it. Even in the "deeper-cut" first half, we've got Soniamode and Tin There. It's going to go off. My first time at the Aviva Studios too, looking forward to that. Anyone been there?
  12. Going to Manchester next week. Yep, it's two 90 minute sets. Stacked setlist, too. Looking forward to it.
  13. Yep, makes sense to me. Get balances paid then we're at the business end of the run-in, with an area poster each week on average. The exciting part. In only 12 weeks, you'll all be flowing through those giant green gates. 12 weeks!!!
  14. I just re-read it and sighed. I'm trying to rinse as much out of a day ticket as possible. I'm even not drinking at the wedding the day before for "prep". At least the wedding will take my mind off the FOMO on the Saturday. Although, god knows how I'm gonna handle the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  15. I think it'd be loads better if it was an urban festival anyway. Imagine if it was in London. Think "Dot-to-Dot" but on a much grander scale. You've got your pick of venues, you could have it completely indoors so the weather wouldn't be a problem. Forget the timing around the solstice, hold it whenever you like. It's indoors! Good transport links between each venue. Let's be honest. By the time you've walked from the Acoustic Stage to the Park, you could have got the tube from Brixton Academy to the O2 Arena. No need for a tent, just enjoy one the capital's extensive range of hostels or AirBnBs. No flags or large rucksacks bigger than A4. Somebody get me Emily on line one.
  16. Yeah, Air on Arcadia would be a terrible piece of programming. Surely they'd headline Woodsies or The Park based upon the size of the assumed headliners on the poster? If those slots are sorted, then I think Air are another touring act that the festival has failed to bag
  17. I appreciate the encouragement Ben! I've looked at it in depth over the weekend and logistically I just can't make it work. I have a wedding on the Saturday that I could easily navigate (it's local) but I'd need to incorporate two 12 hour shifts between Wednesday and Sunday. Take (probably) Wednesday and Friday out for work, plus the Saturday for the wedding and it just doesn't make sense. I think I'll stick to my plan to arrive early on the Sunday morning, go straight through until Monday close, drive home the 40 minutes (when sober) and sleep then. It's gonna be very different but I'm looking forward to throwing the kitchen sink at a one-shot 24-hour Glastonbury experience
  18. Ahhh, come on, lighten up a bit. The monorail joke is part of the fabric of this place. Just like Foals headlining, the Mum-check and The KLF reforming
  19. That came out a few weeks ago...
