Tuesday Night Arrival VS Wednesday Morning Arrival
timespeedsup replied to gratefulbread's topic in Chat
Anyone fancy updating this with their 2019 experiences? Don't trawl through this unless you're resilient to what happened in 2016. -
2019 experiences please, time of arriving at the gate D queue Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, and time of then getting though gate D. Ta

Me too at Bearded, fantastic set. Torn here though as they clash with Gabriels whose singer has the voice of an angel.

Suggest a scheduled artist I should listen to today.....

Oh ta, missed that they are playing; always expect them to. May I suggest Gabriels? -
I wondered that too but assumed it was all part of the act. Similarly I'm guessing it's the singer's Birthday every time they play. Possibly my favourite act of a high class weekend.
-
Any idea of how early you'd need to arrive to avoid car queuing on the Wednesday? Aiming for gate D, coming from Shepton Mallet end. I'm thinking 6am?

Ta, good to know. It's a well organised festival, it'll all be fine.

Which field isn't yet open then?

I'm hearing of a distinct lack of camping space already, which is bit hairy for our arrival tomorrow. Don't recall space issues previously, and they've not upped the attendees, so anyone any idea if true and how come?
-
Not half. But I thought Herbie Hancock was going to be early doors Sunday. They're going to make jazz clash?? Ta, Acid Mothers were something else, so will have a listen to this lot.

Attila the Stockbroker is on Saturday in Gail's Tea Tent, time TBC see board on the day, but if like last time was mid-afternoon. Amusing and poignant poetry. Regular on John Peel back in the day. Seconded for Zombie Met Girl too, whoever said that.

Plenty on there for us too. Yup, old enough to spend too long there. Fess up your ages when you first saw an act there, consensus over 30? 40? Think I was 32. Including dozing off to Tindersticks before racing across to The Chems. Damien Dempsey clashing with Diana Ross? Ho hum.....

Hoping it's still 3am Friday and Saturday night. Which has got me thinking, any news on whether the previously-planned Arcadia spider will still make its debut?

Great if so, but I can't move for FB music threads recently with 3 Mahones hearts. 🤔
