Yeah, you're probably right, there's so many words in the spam trap I don't know from memory what they all are.
  10. have decided to work my way thru several lists of "1000 albums to hear before you die" i've gone for this list and this list randomly googled (and easy to put in a spreadsheet, duplicates removed, and then randomised) am going to give each a ranking and maybe a useful comment - for the first in the list the album title is a clue for when to play it!

  15. The eFestivals meet will be held again in the bar in the Cabaret field, at 6pm on the Wednesday, at The Ridge & Furrow Bar.Come along and say hello, and meet some of the people you've been reading/chatting to/discussing with here. It's informal, and fun, everyone welcome.
  16. you can blame Radcliffe and Maconie for this thread starting. How can they mention a great act they never play and still not play him...? So enjoy this, and hit this thread up with some more perhaps-obscure tunes.

    Daft Punk

we've heard a rumour that very specifically said Daft Punk would be headlining the Friday next year. I've no idea if it's right or not, tho there's good reason to think it might be.
  18. I've just woken up to the fact that my NAS will run a home automation system, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has done it, and what's good and what's not. My NAS is a Synology, and the Home Automation server software I've installed (tho there might be something better...?) is https://home-assistant.io/ (I know there's other stuff out there, tho I'm not sure whether they'll run on the chip my NAS uses) I've just ordered a Belkin WeMo lighting starter kit (a hub, and 2 bulbs) - which I know is supported by by NAS and that software (and likely to be supported by other software, if I used something else). I've also ordered an Aventek wifi power socket, but don't know whether that will work from the HA server. Anything useful anyone might be able to tell me about anything home automation, I'm all ears. Thanks.
  19. Welcome to the madness. As a gentle introduction for any new people, feel free to introduce yourself here before you dive right in.
  20. Just a reminder: please buy your festival and gig tickets via our links, as the small commission we get from each sale helps us pay the bills. This is vitally important, cos if we can't pay the bills we won't be here. You'll find the links to some major agents in the menu at the top of the page. Go to 'shop' and then 'tickets' Your support is appreciated. Thanks.
